Sharon Osbourne Desperate For Yet More Headlines

BulimiaThis time it’s bulimia. Not content with broadcasting her cancer scare to all and sundry, Sharon Osbourne has realised you can’t beat a good old teenage trauma to whip up some more column inches.

"I’m still bulimic. It’s bad, but I’m really trying to get better. I stuff myself with food like ice cream or pasta then rush to the loss to make myself sick."

There was us thinking she sucked in her cheekbones because she liked the taste. Sharon Osbourne, now 52 and desperate for more attention than a thousand Robbie Williams’, has battled with bulimia for 35 years.

We’re guessing that it must have been on and off.

"Ozzy and the children know and they get so upset with me. They are terrified for me."

And then, just as The Sun’s interviewer gets more interested in his biro than what the least-talented-woman-in-music-management has to say – BAM! – we’re in with the cancer again.

"It’s a very big fear. I get check ups every six months. I’m a natural pessimist and always feel I’m ready for bad news."

We wouldn’t wish The Plague of the 21st Century on anyone, but then we wouldn’t wish Sharon Osbourne (Books) on anyone either.

No wonder poor Ozzy’s spent most of his life medicated up to the eyeballs.

You clearly dont know what it is like to be bulimic and the effects it actually has on ones life! You sit there bad mouthing Sharon and you havent a clue what she is going through! Nor do realise the damage that could be caused by her reading your pathetic attempts to belittle her! Bulimia is not a ‘TEENAGE TRAUMA’ – it is an illness that effects many adults – often adults with a low self-esteem. It makes me sick that there are people out there like you – passing your judgements and opinions onto people for the sake of publicity and money! BULIMIA IS NOT A JOKE! I have been battling it for 4 years and it makes me sad that people dont realise the severity of the disorder. How the smallest things (like reading your article) can cause a bigger problem! Sharon is a celebrity therefore the world knows her business – she is not seeking attention through the media, she is merely admitting a problem which is first step to recovery. People with bulima do not seek attention, they fear it more! So your statement “Sharon desperate for more headlines” is nothing more than you being “Desperate to find Headlines” by using other peoples insecurities and problems to make money! Your pathetic …….
On another note, I pray Sharon and every other person who is battling this illness including myself, actually finds it in them to beat it! It’s going to be a tough journey………

Yeah! Exactly! Well said! Sharon is many things, including being an amzing woman, but she is not attention-seeking. It’s a truly horrible thing to say someone is attention-seeking when they admit they have bulimia. That, as Candice said, is the first step on the way to recovery, and pratically making fun of her fear of her cancer coming back is despicable. Her cancer lasted for about a year, and she went through som much fear, trauma and of course pain in that time unlike anything I think you could ever know. Of course she’s scared of it. Everyone is, it’s a killer. The fact that she’s had it before means that it could well come back again. And this also proves that she has loads of insecurities, and it seems you’re being horrible abou that as well. It just shows she’s human, and even more reason that she has insecurities for you NOT to make up headlines about her, stabbing at her self-esteem. I am disgusted with you. It’s people like you who, once that person has died, say: oh wow, that person was so amazing, I wish I could have met her while she was still alive, she was a truly amazing woman. Which she is. But that’s what I know people like you will say.
