We’ve all been there; you’ve just got married to a beauty queen and – fuelled by euphoria – you have a celebratory drink. And another. Next thing you know you’re being arrested for being a drunken mess.
Well, that hasn’t strictly happened to up – but we’re not Scott Stapp. The former Creed singer was arrested in Los Angeles International airport on Saturday on suspicion of being wasted on booze on the way to his honeymoon. No other airline passengers were injured. Because Stapp didn’t sing anything, probably.
Creed (CDs) were a band that completely went above our heads. From our
distanced viewpoint, all Creed had to offer was horrible bland
mainstream songs sung by a man who sounded as if he was choking on
spaghetti. Creed were, if it’s possible, a less-good version of
Nickelback. But it seems we were missing out.
Because behind all that rubbish music was a whirling
self-destructive mess of a man called Scott Stapp, a man who is able to
get arrested between his wedding and his honeymoon. On Friday, Stapp
married Jaclyn Nesheiwat in Miami. The day after the ceremony, Stapp
and Nesheiwat headed to Hawaii for a romantic getaway – but things
didn’t go entirely according to plan.
Because at Los Angeles International airport, Stapp was refused
entry to his plane for being "antagonistic" and
"boisterous." Stapp was then arrested on suspicion of being drunk in a
public place and, after a blood test found him twice over the legal
limit, was booked and released on $250 bail and ordered to report for
arraignment on March 8.
It’s not the first time that Scott Stapp has let booze and substances get the better of him. Back in December, Stapp punched a member of boyband 311 in the face after apparently telling them:
"311, I am ready to fight."
And
the last Creed tour was marked by a lawsuit by the band’s fans in
Chicago who claimed that Scott Stapp was:
"so intoxicated an/or
medicated that he was unable to sing the lyrics of a single Creed
song."
That has to be a blessing, though, right?

Debbie says
I disagree with you 100%. Creed/Scott and the others were a great band and proceeded to release a very meaninful message in My Sacrifice, My Own Prison, and many many others. They put all their heart and soul into their music and it showed. Many of us fans 15,000’s of us and of course I’m sure even more loved Creed and their way of music. That’s not right to strike a man, a good man at that, when they are down. Shame on this article!!!! Again, I disagree 100%. I forgive him. He is only human. The pressures of the road and recording records and trying to have a life of his own. Hard, hard life! Again, Shame on you!!!!!!!!!
