But even this incredible range of roles isn't enough for Scarlett Johansson. Perhaps knowing that the quickest way to Oscar glory – apart from playing a singer who's just died – is to play a member of the British royal family, Scarlett Johansson has just signed up to play Mary Queen Of Scots in a new movie that focuses on the reasons why her cousin Elizabeth I ordered her execution. Now that Scarlett Johansson is in the movie, we can expect that reason to be jealousy about her excellent breasts.

We don't keep carping on about Scarlett Johansson's breasts because we've got a creepy obsession about them, you know. Well, OK, maybe a bit – but we can back it up with fact. Scarlett Johansson doesn't just officially have the best breasts in Hollywood, but she's officially the sexiest woman in the world, too. So it's only fitting that Scarlett Johansson is set to play Mary Queen Of Scots in a new movie written by Jimmy McGovern, since Mary Queen Of Scots was once voted the sexiest Scottish queen, and also had the best tits of any Queen Consort Of France ever. The Independent reports:

Yesterday's Hollywood Reporter announced the 21-year-old actress's decision to take the role. Her mother and manager, Melanie Johansson, will be one of the film's producers, which has a tentative budget of around $25-30 million. No director has been hired yet. Shooting will probably begin sometime next summer.

Mary Queen Of Scots famously had a bit of a rough life. Made Queen of Scotland when she was less than a week old, Mary ran off to France, came back, married her cousin, saw him get murdered, got thrown in prison for 19 years and then got chopped up with an axe. But, hey, everyone's got problems – our 20GB iPod doesn't sync up to our computer properly any more, so we know all about tragedy too.

Scarlett Johansson is developing a bit of a thing for these period movies. It's been three years since Scarlett Johansson made Girl With A Pearl Earring, and she's also lining up roles as an Amazonian gladiatrix, Mary Boleyn and one of Napoleon's girlfriends in addition to Mary Queen Of Scots. Luckily, all this research into olden times is helping Scarlett Johansson in other ways – for instance, the first product out from the Scarlett Johansson Reebok line is going to be a pair of ergonomic curly-toed poulaines with air-cushioned soles.
