Things move so fast in the world of celebrity, sometimes it’s hard to keep up.
Take Renee Zellweger (DVDs), for example. First she was thin, then she was fat, then she was thin again. All in the blink of an eye. And first she was single, then she was Jim Carrey‘s (DVDs) girlfriend, then she was going out with Skeletor from The White Stripes (CDs), now she’s married. What’s going on?
If reports are to be believed, Zellweger got married to Kenny Chesney (CDs) this weekend on the island of St John in the US Virgin Islands. Kenny Chesney, for those non-truck driving readers, is a Country and Western singer.
Chesney seems to be a bit of a creepy Renne Zellweger obsessive. His 1999 song You Had Me From Hello was inspired by her performance in Jerry Maguire.
He always claimed she was his favourite actress. Then, during an
American tsunami fundraiser in January where he was performing and she
was answering phones, he made his move. And now they’re married!
Renee Zellweger won an Oscar for her role in Cold Mountain,
and Kenny Chesney currently has two albums in the Billboard Top Ten
Country Album Chart. This makes them the most famous Actress/Country
Singer married couple of all time, shoving Julia Roberts and Lyle Lovett down into second place.
Details are thin on the ground. The wedding was apparently a low-key
affair involving no shoes and 15 minutes of time, and Renee’s dress was
designed by someone called Carolina Herrera.
And that’s about all anyone knows. Basically, it was fast and dull. A bit like Jensen Button, really.
