R. Kelly Comes Back With Another Tiresome Sex Album And Video
R. Kelly is not a man you’d want to be. The last few years have seen him involved in all kinds of messy legal proceedings, from disagreements with rappers to allegations of having degrading sex with an underage girl on video.
Soon sees the release of the new R. Kelly sex-based album, TP.3 Reloaded, and it’s bizarre accompanying DVD, Trapped In The Closet.
You’ve got to hand it to R. Kelly (CDs) – he’s either incredibly brave or
incredibly stupid. Most people involved in an illegal sex video scandal
would perhaps fade out of the limelight to protect themselves.
Not our Kelly, though. His last CD went by the ludicrous name of
Chocolate Factory – and there aren’t that many album names that manage
to allude to both a book about a creepy man who looks after children and anal sex. You’d have thought that with his court case coming up, this time he’d have eased off the jiggytalk just a little.
Not so. R. Kelly now brings us Trapped In The Closet, a weird
mini-series of 16-minute episodes about a man who has sex with a
married woman and hides in a closet. R. Kelly does the vocals for all
six characters over minimal music.
And as well as making a sex soap opera, Trapped In The Closet’s
parent album TP.3 Reloaded continues the R. Kelly tradition of thinking
about a household object and then turning it into a sex song (See
Ignition – R. Kelly wants to have sex with a car).
On this record, you can hear In The Kitchen – about R. Kelly wanting
to have sex with a kitchen, Sex Weed – about R. Kelly wanting to have
sex with a pile of soft drugs, and Remote Control – about R. Kelly
wanting to have sex with a Tyco RC Hovercraft.
Business as usual, then.
TP.3 Reloaded is released later this month. Kelly’s trial starts in the autumn.
[story by Stuart Heritage]

He looks at the closet
I pull out my Baretta
He walks up to the closet
He comes up to the closet
Now he’s at the closet
Now he’s opening the closet..
I am college graduate, a woman and a I try to follow the word of God. But when it comes to the “Trapped In the Closet†all I can say is “Stop Hatin’!â€. When you hear the song in sections it is suppose to leave you in suspense and so it does. As far as it not rhyming, duh!! It’s not suppose to rhyme. I don’t know if have been paying attention to the songs he has been creating for the past 4 years, but this is a style that has become very popular for him and it works.
I don’t know if we remember anything about being innocent until proven guilty, but it sure sounds like he is suppose to stop what has put him to the top (at least in R&B) charts because of allegations. Every album he has ever had has consisted of “baby-making†songs, so why is this one being treated so differently.
Quit making such a big deal out of something that has not changed and has not hurt anyone. His music has always been the same and his creative style is one that will stay around. If you don’t like it then don’t listen to it, but don’t insult it. When you do insult his music, you are insulting his fans and who has the right to do that?
your a ax hole
your a ax hole
If you’d seen the video in question you’d know RK is a bad man. God is watching, RK…
KIRA says: “When you do insult his music, you are insulting his fans and who has the right to do that?”
What a load of shite – it has fuck all to do with his fans. Do they make the lame-o music? No. So quit with the stupid point and get over yourselves. The fans are fine because they have FUCK ALL to do with the music.
R Kelly however thinks he’s the new Marvin Gaye (he really, REALLY isn’t a fraction as good) and is a self-obsessed nutjob if you ask me.
The worry of course is that here we have a man accused of doing bad things, who is lauded by fans that eagerly anticipate another record of ME ME ME and unnerving ’sex’ tunes, given his impending court case.
Innocent until proven guilty? The only reason Jackson got off was because each charge was specifically linked to Arvizo, who the jury didn’t trust or believe. Take away the Arvizo bit and things may have been very different. Don’t count R Kelly’s chickens fans.
And remember, ignorance isn’t cool.
Regardless what you people say about Robert kelly, He’s still the best singer and song writter today. Now about the underage sex tape… If I should believe it to be R Kelly, That girl is no saints she is and was fully agreeing to having sex with kelly. She was at the full age to understand that she was having sex with a man, whether it was kelly or not. It is clearly stated in the “BIBLE”, that went a person gets to the age of 14, they’re in the state of mind… to make up their minds as to what they want to do to and of them self. In other word, their minds is fully ready for the word. I am sorry, I can’t tell you exactly where in the “BIBLE” to find this crepture, but! if you should read the “BIBLE” you would find it. I have read the bible from Genius to Act, I stopped because I got busy – working and taking care of my family. I was in my teens than.(N32).
