Sean Combs aka P Diddy, aka Puff Daddy, aka Sean John, aka Smiling Millionaire was unbelievably struck by lightning on Wednesday. Although this thunderbolt didn’t hit the entrepreneur right in the middle of his face, it still shook him up. It was a close call, and his jet got totally jiggy with it.
P. Diddy’s (CDs) aeroplane was struck whilst he was airborne on his way over to Miami. The Bad Boy leader was flying in for a DNR CEO Summit at The Four Seasons, but had to make an emergency landing in Palm Beach. The lord works in mysterious ways, it seems.
Luckily, no one was hurt and sighs of relief sprang out once they
touched the ground. He would have never expected such
apparent danger to come from such an unlikely source. After all,
lightning usually strikes when you least expect it.
Diddy is safe, but one wonders if it was some kind of bizarre retribution for not showing up for Diddy Day a few weeks ago. He is a fair God, but a vengeful one.
It makes you think a lot, doesn’t it? Things have
not been too jolly for the star recently as he has admitted that his
latest MTV Making the Band programme was really strapped for talent. In short, no one was good enough.
The show had been attracting a lot of raw non-talent. Wonder why? Has Diddy’s so-called tough image finally caught up
with him? Or has it become the refuge for American Idol and X Factor rejects?
Diddy is now, after all, more noticeable on the red carpet than ever, mostly for his designing escapades. They seems to be attracting the
wrong talents for his show, don’t they?
So what next for Diddy after the shock of being hit by lightning? He
has signed up for another series of Making the Band, this time he is
determined to form a good girl pop band.
hecklerspray is reluctant to say this; but hasn’t the girl band pop
format been stretched way to the limit already? Just ask Louis Walsh,
right? Ok, so it won’t be Girls Aloud (CDs), but it won’t be Destiny’s Child (CDs)
either.
Oh, Diddy. We hope he has a good accountant and focuses mainly on what he is good at, in order not to confuse people any further.
Perhaps, another Sting (CDs) cover could place him back up on the charts
again. Or maybe it’s even too late for that, with even Junior Mafia
(CDs) and Mase (CDs) no longer apart of Bad Boy Records.
No wonder, Diddy’s been selling some shares and negotiating some more deals.
There doesn’t seem to be much for him to work with in the music
department of late, the only credible artists left on the label are
seemingly Eightball and MJG.
Remember, listen to Diddy if you must, but only in very open spaces.
You don’t want to be hit by lightning, do you?
