If you’ve watched just one second of television this year, chances are you’ll have already heard Do Your Thing by Basement Jaxx. It’s the soundtrack to the omnipresent ITV 50 year celebration advert.
Surprisingly, though, the official video doesn’t involve Ant & Dec mugging like a couple of tiny gits, or Fern Britton trying to eat a plant. It’s – get this – a bunch of T-shirts with some words written on them. T-shirts with some words written on them are the new rock ‘n’ roll. And we’re letting you watch the video right here!
Do Your Thing is big in Faliraki, we’re told. But then again, so is drinking your own body weight in spirits, feeling up a fat girl from Grantham and then stabbing a Greek.
