What are the two best things in the world? That’s right, bank holidays and kung-fu.
On a bank holiday, you become your own person again. For 24 hours, you stop being a company drone, and you’re free to do whatever the hell you like. If that means drinking three cans of Tesco value pilsner and falling asleep in front of The Great Escape, so be it.
Kung-fu, on the other hand, is perfect physical artistry - force and momentum and control meeting together as one. Or it’s just an opportunity to laugh at a bunch of badly-dubbed blokes with funny haircuts pounding each other.
If only there was a way to combine bank holidays and kung-fu. If only…
Well, thanks to PlayStation, there is. This weekend all around the country, the PlayStation people are hosting a number of Free To Fight martial arts displays and workshops and Tekken competitions and stuff. And they’re all free to enter. You’ll probably end up looking like the hopeless kung-fu fools in this Free To Fight video, though.
