For a while, Paris Hilton couldn’t do right for doing wrong. She’d fallen out with her best friend Nicole Richie, split up with her fiance Paris Latsis – and getting called a hooker in the process – and then Fox cancelled her TV show The Simple Life.
But now Paris is trying to put her life back in order. And it looks like her new-found good behaviour has saved The Simple Life.
Paris Hilton (DVDs) has been attempting to restore some kind of equilibrium
her life of late. After a friend of Paris Latsis called her a "hooker"
for keeping their engagement ring, Paris Hilton has reportedly
auctioned off the ring for the Hurricane Katrina relief fund.
And Paris has also been attempting to make amends with Nicole
Richie, her estranged Simple Life co-star. They fell out in April for
unknown reasons, but Hilton has apparently realised that she was being
petty, and has penned a letter of apology to Richie.
All this do-gooding has apparently restored Hilton’s television
career. Reports of the death of The Simple Life has apparently been
greatly exaggerated, despite being ditched by the Fox network. 20th
Century Fox Television, who produce the show, said:
“We believe this series … is still a dynamic and valuable franchise. We hope to be able to announce a new network partner
in the coming days.”
Or, as Paris Hilton herself puts it:
“We’re shooting Nov. 1. All the
networks are fighting over it.”
All of which must be great news for people everywhere who enjoy watching two rich stupid airheads monging around on a farm and stuff.
