Noel_edmondsTV presenters are rubbish these days.

They’re either mewling meek nonentities like The X Factor’s Kate Thornton or slack-jawed lobotomy-cases like Vernon Kay. Don’t you sometimes find yourself praying for the return of someone distinctive? You know… someone like hyperactive midget beardy-man Noel Edmonds?

Well, wish no more.

Noel Edmonds - as long absent from our television screens as a decent ITV sitcom - has announced that he has signed up with Channel 4 to present new gameshow Deal Or No Deal.

"I was delighted when Channel 4 offered me the presenting job. I’m really excited about coming back to TV presenting after five years and am especially looking forward to working on such a gripping and suspense-filled gameshow format."

Hecklerspray says: hooray! Could this finally see the end of bland T4-powered snooze-telly? Could this finally be the long-awaited comeback of gunge-dunking, crap celebrities knocking at doors of fake mansions and disturbing spotty pink mutant men doddering around and releasing piss-awful Christmas singles?

We can only hope.

You have to be joking. When he had a spell on the Johhny Walker show on radio 2 when Walker was ill he was crap, he’s living in the past. Whats the betting on him trying to resurrect Mr bloody Blobby?
