Nicolas Cage Kinda Bags Acting

For the past hundred years or so, Nicolas Cage has been an actor - and a
fine actor at that. His movie topics have ranged from something about
Las Vegas to, uh…to something else about Las Vegas.

It seems though, that the man is getting bored with all those gigantic
pay checks and top credit listings. He says he's scaling back a bit to
make room for other things - things like solving real-life murders
using only his awesome mind-power and a double brimmed Sherlock Holmes hat. Or was he gonna spend more time developing independent films?

We're not sure to be honest, and with research being for wussies, frankly, we may never know.

Nicolas Cage has been in a lot of movies, the best of which was Raising Arizona, the worst of which was that recent The Wicker Man
remake. Anybody see that one? Seriously, it was awful. They broke his
legs and set him aflame. Maybe we didn't enjoy it because it hit a
little close to home. Yeah, proms can be rough.

But that Wicker Man movie is enough to make us wish Cage had made this
announcement a year or two sooner. He's recently stated that he's not
going to be making so many movies. More specifically the man said:

"I'm thinking about taking more time in between movies."

He then added:

"I feel I've made a lot of movies already and I want to
start exploring other opportunities… whether it's writing or other
interests."

Cage has a super hero movie coming out soon wherein he plays a
protagonist whose head is always on fire. And after that he's got like
6 or 7 more coming out in '07 & '08. When those are done, though,
he is totally pulling back on his movie making so he can make movies
instead. Whatever that means - but you saw it! That's what the guy said!

We know what Cage is thinking though. There comes a time when everybody's got to scale back on movie making. Leroy Spitz
over in copy had to too. Granted that was more of a court order, and
the camera he used was disguised as an air freshener. And his cast were
all typically unaware of their participation. But Leroy really was good
though. Our favorite was his his 1997 epic Janitor Has The Hershey-Squirts.

Seriously, the plot twists were spell-binding!
