Nick And Jessica - It’s Off… On… Off… On… Off?

The smell of divorce has always followed Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey around like a big eggy guff.

Yesterday, it seemed like the dream was over for the orange transvestite and her silent, slightly effeminate husband. "SPLIT!" bellowed the cover of US Weekly magazine, only for the couple to deny it all nanoseconds later.

Of course, a Jessica Simpson (CDs) / Nick Lachey split has been on the
cards for months. Back in May, rumours were buzzing around that she’d
pretty much slept with everyone that had ever been involved in the
making of Jackass - although those rumours have never been confirmed.
However, the girlfriend of Jackass star Bam Margera phoned a
Philadelphia radio station to accuse Bam and Jessica of ‘getting it
on’, possibly till ‘the break of dawn’.

Ever since then, things have been a little bit fishy. Jessica took her wedding ring off when she went out. Why? "I don’t need diamonds on my finger to show that I love my husband."

And now US Weekly promises that it’s new edition contains information about how Jessica’s "ego, partying and Dad" split the couple up - claiming that they have already been separated for two months - and how “Jessica’s
the problem. She’s not the girl America fell in love with anymore.”
America, we’re quite stunned that you even fell in love with that big square jaw/crazy eyes combo in the
first place.

But, just as soon as the rumours surfaced, they’ve been denied by Jessica’s rep: "Nick and Jessica have not separated. Rumours to the contrary are simply not true."

Not until they’ve agreed a contract for the kooky reality TV divorce series, anyway.
