New Nintendo Controller - Huh?

Pardon us for being shamelessly behind the times, but we’ve just seen the new controller for the Nintendo Revolution. And, once again, we can’t figure out whether it’s brilliant or rubbish.
The controller is like a wireless DVD remote control that can have all manner of attachments fitted to it. It’s promised to be "the future of mankind" or somesuch hyperbolic nonsense. Is it? Or is it just a great big gimmick?
The good people at Joystiq have been furiously covering the new Nintendo controller, along with everything else at the Tokyo Games Show.
And if that’s not enough, they’ve also found this weird, translated from Japanese muscular Mario comic strip. "Nintendo Co. is the invincible fist in underwater!" Indeed.
Tell us what you think about the new Nintendo controller below.
