Digg this!

Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull Trailer Indiana Jones 4 TrailerThe first-ever trailer for Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull is online! And we've got it here!

Since the Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull trailer was released, Indiana Jones fans have fallen over themselves to try and glean as many clues about the movie from it as possible, while simultaneously trying to figure out whether Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull will be good or a big stack of monkey bum.

Haven't seen the trailer yet? It's after the jump, although we should pre-warn you that the new Indiana Jones trailer contains scenes of world-weary smartarsery that some viewers might find somewhat annoying.

Of all the films made this year, none have been as highly anticipated as Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. That's partly because the first three Indiana Jones films were enduring family classics and partly because nobody can quite believe that the minds behind The Terminal, The Phantom Menace and Firewall are really pooling their talent to make a movie together this year.

Anticipation for Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull has been so high that literally every last thing you could think of has been turned into a phalanx of squealing headlines. The script, the cast, the title, the petty robberies – an on-set visit just to listen to the producer compare the movie to a chair made the cover of Vanity Fair, which isn't something you can say about, for example, Wizards Of Gore.

And now the very first trailer for Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull has been released. And, as far as we can tell, the Crystal Skull bit seems to be a deliberate misnomer – the movie should really be called Indiana Jones And The Cate Blanchett's Got A Funny Haircut. Look…

Pretty much what you'd expect from an Indiana Jones film, then – whips, hats, natives, car chases – although we're slightly alarmed that the part of Horrifically Stereotypical Japanese Sidekick is being played by the boy who got arrested in a chemists. That's a mistake, surely.

But anyway, the Indiana Jones fans of the world have all been combing the trailer for clues. Want to know what they found? Here's E! Online to explain more:

"What makes this really cool is its kinda like watching your own dad kick ass, its good to have you back Indy!" writes Spamster on Ain't It Cool News, which managed to get its hands on a bootlegged version just before the official version went live. "If the alien angle isn't played too heavily, and if there aren't too many one liners, this could be fun," adds AICN contributor Merrick… "Definitely going to go see it, but it looks like it might be making too much fun of itself and Ford's age," grouses a comingsoon.net poster named Shirerat. "Not sure if I can take Blanchett seriously with that haircut either."

What do we think? We think it's too early to judge yet, that's what we think. We'll have a much better idea of what Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull will be like when the second trailer is released.

You know, the one with Jar Jar Binks in it.
