Naomi Campbell seems to be building a reputation as the supermodel you don't wanna mess with because – if you do – there's a chance that Naomi Campbell will get all like "pow pow pow" and you'll be all like "urrgh my head."
And it doesn't look like Naomi Campbell's worries are easing up, either. Already Naomi Campbell is in trouble with the police for allegedly using her pretty little hands to throw a telephone at the back of a housekeeper's head, and in the last few hours Naomi Campbell has been arrested, questioned and bailed by the Metropolitan Police for some sort of assault, although Naomi Campbell's people are positive that the arrest was merely a "misunderstanding" since assault is so last season, and Campbell was really gunning for a GBH charge.
OK, we made that last bit up. Please, Naomi, not the face. Not the face!
No matter what JK Rowling says, being a supermodel has to be the best job in the world, doesn't it? You get paid hundreds of thousands of pounds to be flown to the most beautiful places on earth just to stand around wearing some clothes and – best of all – people still suck up to you if you act like a shit. They still think you're perfect even though you're obviously not. Christie Brinkley has her string of broken marriages and Cindy Crawford's face is full of all sorts of crap and Kate Moss has a thing for dirty heroin addicts and none of it matters.
But all of them still have a long way to go before they even get close to the Supermodel Queen Of Allegedly Being A Bit Of A Violent Arsehole, Naomi Campbell. You know the sort of things Naomi Campbell is supposed to get up to; footage apparently exists of Naomi Campbell railing on a passenger in an aeroplane, last year it was reported that Naomi Campbell beat up an assistant with a blackberry, and then there's possibly our favourite story ever, about the time when Naomi Campbell smashed up a luxury yacht with her fists causing £30,000 of damage just because she was offered some tomato, ham and mozzarella.
More seriously, though, Naomi Campbell was charged with assault in March for apparently hurling a jewel-encrusted mobile phone into the back of her housemaid's head, causing a gash that needed four stitches. Naomi Campbell has been variously in court for the case or she hasn't really been bothered to turn up for any of it, but now reports are suggesting that Campbell could have been at it again – yesterday Naomi Campbell was arrested on suspicion of assault in London, and was bailed early this morning. E! Online reports:
Campbell has not been charged, authorities said, but she was held for questioning and later freed on bail. A woman, identified by The Sun tabloid as the model's drug counselor, filed a police report stating that she had been attacked by Campbell at the legally challenged cover girl's Westminster home. "Officers attended the address," a police spokesman told reporters. "A woman aged 36 was arrested at approximately 1:20 p.m. for an alleged assault and taken to a central London police station." Britain's Sky News was the first to report that it was Campbell who was detained. A spokesman for the supermodel… assured the BBC News that this matter was a "misunderstanding."
What happens next is anybody's guess – perhaps this story will turn out to be a misunderstanding and go away, or maybe Naomi Campbell will end up as one of the lucky few to be fighting assault charges on both sides of the Atlantic at the same time. Either way, with such a fearsome reputation building, fashion houses might not be so quick to choose Naomi Campbell any more. In which case we can suggest that Naomi tries entering the lucrative worlds of professional pub arm-wrestling and bear-fighting.

Report: Naomi Nabbed In London – E! Online
[story by Stuart Heritage]
Chris Coughlin says
I went to college with an African who stole his father’s car and wrecked it. Because his father was Minister of
Finance in Kenya, upon his conviction for car theft, the judge left sentencing up to his father. His father ordered him
flogged. He described the flogging in horrific terms, but said afterwards he never considered stealing anything again.
All persons who assault others should be given judicial floggings. Naomi Campbell should be given a judicial
flogging if convicted of assault. Such punishment would fit the crime, and perhaps teach her not to assault people..

If she is convicted I would willingly put myself forward for the job of whipping Ms Campbell. As long as I get to choose the outfit…oh boy
John L. Hemphill says
Naomi campbell is now facing a two front conflict; lawsuits on both sides of the Atlantic but he srtange thing is that up to a few years ago when she was younger these things did not happen. There is something deeper going on in her life and instead of the media mocking it or calling her spoiled we should all try to find out what it is because we are seeing someone destroy themselves in a very very public way.
