Now and then we get to hear music which we simply like straight away. For multiple reasons – it could just be a simple catchy hook or the personality of the singer who makes you listen to what they’re singing about.
Nothing has to have an explanation to be enjoyed – after all, if we had to do that it would be like being in school doing essays on why we like eating blobs of jumper fluff.
Sometimes we’re not sure what makes music cool. Popularity isn’t the key – if it was true our failed bands would have made it by now. Pantha Du Prince takes the traditional sound of accessible house music and adds in elements of electro and dark whispery vocals. Go on give it a try. Just because it doesn’t have a ten minute long promo video won’t mean it’s rubbish.
