Grey's Anatomy is one of those shows, like Desperate Housewives, that we don't have to watch because 1) Every squawking idiot we meet seems determined to tell us exactly what happened and 2) it looks like a sack of balls.
Oh yeah, and 3) Nothing that happens on Grey's Anatomy is even a tenth as interesting as things that go on behind the scenes of Grey's Anatomy. Lately there's already been a Grey's Anatomy Battle Royale, where two Grey's Anatomy actors decided to pummel each other into a gooey mush – or something – and now another Grey's Anatomy actor has decided to come out and announce that he's gay. Actor T.R Knight, who plays Dr George O'Malley on the show, gave a statement confirming his homosexuality to People magazine. Now, we haven't got the foggiest who T.R Knight, but it's probably safe to assume that being gay is the most interesting part of him.
There's been an awful lot of gay stories this week, hasn't there? If people aren't carping on about Lindsay Lohan and Keira Knightley's lesbian romp then they're slowly coming to terms with the fact that Matthew McConaughey and Lance Armstrong aren't gay. And now – blam! – they've been blindsided by the shocking revelation that the gay-seeming doctor from Grey's Anatomy is gay too. T.R Knight – that's Dr George O'Malley to the millions of people who inexplicably watch and enjoy Grey's Anatomy – gave the following statement to People magazine:
"I guess there have been a few questions about my sexuality, and I'd like to quiet any unnecessary rumours that may be out there. While I prefer to keep my personal life private, I hope the fact that I'm gay isn't the most interesting part
of me."
Gay actors? Whatever next! T.R Knight is right, we suppose. As well as impersonating a medical professional for cash and being gay, there are plenty more exciting things to mention about T.R Knight. For instance, um, he's from Minneapolis and his hair looks quite presentable most of the time. See?
Needless to say, the questions about his sexuality that T.R Knight are mostly thought to have stemmed from the Grey's Anatomy Actor Battle To The Death that took place between Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey just over a week ago, where one of them lost his shit with the other one because he was a trained theatre actor who'd sold out and appeared on Grey's Anatomy for money while the other one was a pretty boy who'd got the Grey's Anatomy job just by being pretty, or something. Anyway, its thought that at some point one of the Grey's Anatomy actors slurred the sexuality of another Grey's Anatomy actor. Keeping up? Good. Now that T.R Knight has decided to come out, that's that little mystery possibly cleared up.
Now that's all left for the Grey's Anatomy cast and crew to do is to get back on track after all these headline-grabbing incidents and return to what they do best – keeping Grey's Anatomy as the number one rubbishy, dull, yet bizarrely popular medical drama that's almost identical to Scrubs about a skinny woman bleating about crap until we have to push knitting needles into our brain through our ears just to make it stop. Or, you know, turn the television off. Whichever one's quickest.
