I find no problem with Katy’s comment. This is just over analyzed. Yes Miley Cyrus is under aged and what not…but it really was just a joke.
Katy Perry is not a pervert, I’m not speaking as a fan but gosh I’m sure you’ve vomited out a couple of dodgy jokes at some point.
Also about Miley being a “slut”, she’s just a teenage girl and frankly if you browse on somewhere like myspace…you have 12 year olds posing naked.
So in today’s society, what Miley has done is considered (or I would think) quite “normal”

Miley is not to blame for the unfortunate run of bad press she’s had so far this year. Her overwhelming popularity has taken her to that level of fame attained by few celebs where nearly everything she does is going to be overly scrutinized, exaggerated, embellished, or totally fabricated. It’s sad that she has to face it at such a young age because she’s going to lose some of her childhood innocence.
Yeh, I’d also say that everyone needs to remember that she’s still a kid, herself included. She’s under a lot of pressure to grow up fast and no child should be forced to do that.

I guess Miley has ascended into Britney territory. What I mean by this is that her press coverage is now intense enough that someone can now make a statement about her (like this Katy Perry thing, or the condom thing), and it will be picked up, not only by the blogosphere, but the mainstream media too. It’s a bizarre place for a fifteen year old to be.
