Then buzz it up

Mick Jagger has been called lots of things in the past, but "an intelligent young man" wouldn’t seem like most people’s first choice. Intelligent? Young? What kind of idiot would ever call him that?
Well, the police, apparently, according to newly released police records regarding a raid on Mick Jagger’s London apartment in 1969.
The National Archives recently declassified a number of Metropolitan Police records, including the one concerning young Mick.
Jagger was fined £200 after he was found to be in possession of
cannabis, but he later complained to the police that drug squad officer
Detective Sgt. Robin Constable apparently also tried to plant some
"white powder" in a box at his home. Here’s some of the statement given by
Jagger…
"I think he put the box down and opened the folded paper. He said
‘Ah, ah,’ we won’t have to look much further.’ As I got to him he showed me the paper and I saw it contained some
white powder. I said ‘You bastard, you planted me with heroin.’"
Following Mick’s complaint an investigation was launched, and
interviews were conducted with all sorts of Jagger-supporters, from
drug dealers to an MP.
The police could find no evidence to support
Jagger’s claims and Detective Chief Inspector William Wilson concluded
that "Michael Jagger is an intelligent young man, and doubtless is on
the
fringe, if not embroiled in the world of users of dangerous drugs."
Intelligent young Mick and his intelligent young beat combo The Rolling Stones release their new album A Bigger Bang on Monday 5th September. Preorder your copy for £8.75 inc. free delivery from CD Wow.
