On the surface, Michael Jackson and 50 Cent don't have too much in common, except a tendency to star in really really awful films. But that isn't stopping Michael Jackson and 50 Cent working together, oh no.
According to reports, Michael Jackson and 50 Cent might be appearing together on a new mix tape by DJ Whoo Kid, one of 50 Cent's G Unit muckers. The collaborative track is apparently entitled Trial Of The Century, and is thought to be about Michael Jackson's thoughts on the 1961 war crimes trial of Adolf Eichmann. Either that or it'll be Michael Jackson carping on about his kiddy fiddling court case some more. One or the other.
God knows Michael Jackson needs something to take his mind off his constant stream of troubles. So far, nothing seems to have done the trick. Not the claims he made giraffes stand around in their own blood, not wanting to have a funky jam with the Pope, not even dressing up as a lady and tottering around the Bahraini Bluewater could ease Michael Jackson's worries. So maybe 50 Cent can.
It seems like Michael Jackson's threats to release a new album in the near future weren't the usual quickly-evaporating rumours we're used to. Reports are emerging that G Unit's DJ Whoo Kid is about to release a mixtape entitled MJ – The Takeover, stuffed with six unreleased Michael Jackson tracks possibly including Trial Of The Century, which features Lucy Diamonds and 50 Cent. Possibly – 50 Cent doesn't appear to have confirmed anything just yet.
Still, at least we have an official date for the first real new Michael Jackson single. Now That I Found Love, the first single from his new album, will hit stores on November 21. Judging by the way that Michael Jackson's last two charity singles went, we wouldn't hold our breath.
