Remember when you heard the news that Michael Jackson had signed up with a Bahrain record company to release a new album on that would usher in a new golden age of Michael Jackson greatness?
Yeah, that's not happening any more. For some reason that only Michael Jackson knows, Michael Jackson has left Two Seas, the Bahrain record label, and is setting up his own company – inventively called The Michael Jackson Company – to possibly release his new album on next year. At least with Michael Jackson naming his company after himself, the eight or nine people in the world who would actually buy a new Michael Jackson album will find his CD just a little more easily, and for that Michael Jackson should be congratulated. Pornography and Jesus Juice all round, says we.
Are we being overly cynical to assume that we're never actually going to hear a note of new music by Michael Jackson ever? Since the end of his child molestation court case, Michael Jackson's music has taken a backseat to stories about him dressing up as a woman or getting giraffes to slosh about in their own blood or getting sued by just about everyone he knows. Even the lawyers of Michael Jackson have have enough of him, and he's supposed to be paying them a bunch of cash. What about people who are supposed to like him for free?
They're all probably getting sick of Michael Jackson too. Michael Jackson's charity records for Kosovo and 9/11 never appeared, and Michael Jackson's Hurricane Katrina single looks like it'll go the same way too. As far as we can tell, the Michael Jackson/ 50 Cent collaboration due for November won't be happening either. And then there's the new Michael Jackson album, supposedly due out next year. According to reports, Michael Jackson had signed with Bahrain record label Two Seas to produce his new album, supposedly to feature lots of Kanye West. But – however desperately hopeful all of that sounded, it's just become even more difficult to imagine a new Michael Jackson album, since he's only gone and left Two Seas, as BBC News reports:
At the time it was reported that Two Seas was a joint venture between Jackson and a member of the Bahraini royal family, Abdulla Hamad Al-Khalifa. But Jackson's US spokeswoman, Raymone Bain, says the singer is no longer affiliated with the label. Guy Holmes, chairman of UK label Gut Records, had been named manager of Two Seas, and was expected to oversee the production of Jackson's new album. But his company told the BBC no deal had ever been formalised with the US pop star. Jackson, 48, has now formed a new company, the Michael Jackson Company, which will look after his business affairs, and may act as a recording label for his next record – due in 2007.
Let's hope Michael Jackson kept in touch with the mental dove-releasing woman from his trial, since by the time Michael Jackson actually gets around to releasing any new music, messenger doves might be just about the cheapest form of distribution to the handful of elderly fans that even remember him, let alone like him.

Shows how much you know. All his albums are flying off the shelves and if they ever release a new album for him, watch that go to the top of the charts. It’s people like you who masquerade as journalists but really are nothing but idiots that thrive on other people’s misery and you cause misery.
Michael Jackson has left this world now but there will never be another like him. People like you come a dime a dozen.
Rest in peace Michael.
