Martin Scorsese & Leonardo DiCaprio Team Up For Wolf Flick
Then buzz it up

It's a fact that the only films being made in Hollywood at the moment are all either going to star Leonardo DiCaprio, be directed by Martin Scorsese or star Leonardo DiCaprio and be directed by Martin Scorsese, just like The Wolf Of Wall Street.
The Wolf Of Wall Street is a new movie based on an unpublished book about a wolf in Wall Street who goes to prison for carrying a dead sheep into the New York Stock Exchange in his teeth. That's what we presume, anyway - the book hasn't been published yet. Anyway, The Wolf Of Wall Street is probably going to be directed by Martin Scorsese and star Leonardo DiCaprio. While it would be foolhardy to try and second-guess what Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio will bring to The Wolf Of Wall Street, on previous Scorsese/DiCaprio experience we think that it'll feature either dirty police work, a rich man flying a plane or Cameron Diaz being unconvincing to a man in top hat with a funny moustache.
When Martin Scorsese won his Oscar for The Departed, it was hard not to feel a little pleased for the man - after all, Martin Scorsese has spent decades making some of Hollywood's most iconic films, so the Oscar was well deserved, even if it was for an overlong remake of a Hong Kong movie that most people knew pretty well already. Apart from the acclaim, though, winning an Oscar took Martin Scorsese one step closer to realising his dream of directing every single movie ever made.
Thanks to his deal with Paramount, Martin Scorsese has never been so inundated with work. As well as his forthcoming documentary about The Rolling Stones, people want Martin Scorsese to direct a Departed sequel, people want Martin Scorsese to direct a Mick Jagger movie about music, people want Martin Scorsese to direct a film about Theodore Roosevelt and Martin Scorsese wants Martin Scorsese to direct a long film about a Portuguese priest wandering aimlessly around feudal Japan asking himself important theological questions.
Although he's not quite in the same situation, Leonardo DiCaprio seems just as eager to star in all films ever made at the moment, too. Since he was nominated for an Oscar for Blood Diamond, Leonardo DiCaprio's name has been linked to a new Kate Winslet movie, a movie about how evil Enron is, a film about blinking, a Bourne Identity rip-off and that Martin Scorsese film about Theodore Roosevelt. And now the two forces of Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are predictably coming together - again - for new movie The Wolf Of Wall Street, as Variety reports:
Deal with Warners for "Wolf" was consummated Friday night, following a brief but aggressive bidding war between Warners and Appian on one side and Paramount and Brad Pitt's shingle Plan B on the other… [Alexandra] Milchan, daughter of producer Arnon Milchan, and lit agent Joel Gotler, who repped the film rights to Belfort's book, ultimately decided to go with Warners because of the Scorsese-DiCaprio combo offered by Appian Way and the studio, although no official deals are in place for Scorsese to direct or DiCaprio to star. In "Wolf of Wall Street" DiCaprio would play Belfort, a Long Island penny stockbroker who served 20 months in prison for refusing to cooperate in a massive 1990s securities fraud case that involved widespread corruption on Wall Street and in the corporate banking world, including mob infiltration.
It'll be interesting to discover whether Leonardo DiCaprio really does want to make The Wolf Of Wall Street or if he just outbid Brad Pitt to get revenge for Pitt snatching that zombie movie from him a few months ago. Either way, Martin Scorsese will need to find Leonardo DiCaprio a co-star for The Wolf Of Wall Street, as the movie is thought to be a big two-hander, but who? Well, we hear Jack Nicholson's strap-on cock doesn't have any immediate jobs on…
