Permanently warbling wench Mariah Carey (CDs) is reported to be desperately "trying to think of something that would make her performance really special." Like singing in something other than a high-pitched donkey bray, for example. Let’s be fair, it couldn’t get any worse could it?
Well, she wants to perform a Live 8 duet with George Michael.
We stand corrected.
Carey recalled how she "idolised George since she was a schoolgirl", and how she "looked at him and wanted to know what he was doing". Obviously no-one sat her down and answered her question: "well dear, he’s warbling some awfully bland ‘song’ with a smugly profound look on his face."
"She thinks a duet with George is the perfect thing," a source explained. hecklerspray can only assume that the source forget to add "for slitting your wrists to" at the end of that sentence.

We Belong Together, shattered yet another record as the single gathered the largest one-day audience total ever in BDS history yesterday – 32.8 million. At the same time, Mariah’s still-new Island Def Jam album, THE EMANCIPATION OF MIMI, certified RIAA double-platinum, stays in the top 5 for a 10th consecutive week (#5 up to #4 bullet), after peaking at #1 twice, in April and again in June.
Mariah, who lit up the MTV Movie Awards 2 weeks ago, will perform in London’s Hyde Park on July 2nd as part of the lineup of Live 8: The Long Walk To Justice.
