Some people will tell you that Love Island is ITV’s most expensive-ever mistake, a cack-handed, fun-free misstep that’s left nobody looking less than completely incompetent. But we couldn’t disagree more.

We’re just kidding – Love Island is awful. It’s basically a bunch of dull needy tossers being dull to each other on a show presented by a couple of other tossers that nobody watches anymore. And Love Island backfiring in such a spectacular style has got the producers so spooked that they’re literally flinging bikini-clad ‘babes’ onto the show all the time. And, in traditional Love Island style, we haven’t got a sodding clue who any of them are.
