Then buzz it up

Imagine an American Chris Moyles, but with a bigger nose, a smaller belly and an implausibly bigger ego. The person you’re imagining is Howard Stern, the US shock-jock who has racked up more fines for indecent broadcasts than anyone else alive.
Howard Stern is leaving conventionally-broadcast radio to start a new show for Sirius Satellite radio next year, and his current broadcaster Infinity has come up with the perfect replacement DJs - some bloke out of Van Halen and a comedian we’ve never heard of.
Over here, Howard Stern is probably most famous for his movie Private
Parts. It’s a rubbish film, but it shows the amount of clout Stern has for a DJ
- after all, you’re never going to see Nicky Campbell star in a film about his own life, are
you?
The Howard Stern radio show - broadcast to around 30 radio stations
around America - is a mix of poo jokes, sex talk and general
loudmouth DJ-type shenanigans. Despite this - and the fact that several big companies refusing to advertise on his show - his show is listened to by around 12 million Americans. Stern is leaving the Infinity group in less than two months.
And according to Infinity, Stern will be impossible to
replace. So impossible that that they’re replacing him with all kinds
of people, notably David Lee Roth from Van Halen and comedian Adam Carolla.
Infinity Chief Executive Joel Hollander said in a statement:
"When we set out to find a replacement for Howard Stern we took the
opportunity to cultivate a wide array of talent, from both in and out
of the radio industry. With Roth, we’ve found someone who continues to evolve
his career and deliver for his legion of fans."
David Lee Roth will take over broadcasting in New York, Boston, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Dallas and West Palm Beach, Florida, while Adam Carolla will replace Stern in Los Angeles, Seattle and Phoenix.
Howard Stern is moving to Sirius, the unregulated satellite station to avoid more fines when he tells poo jokes in the morning.
