Psst.
Psst. You. Hey! Do you like nineties sci-fi TV shows about a couple of FBI agents who should have been boning each other senseless but never got round to it because they were too busy chasing/not believing in (delete as applicable) UFOs and aliens? If so, then, boy, have we got a treat for you.
Some wag, it seems, has secretly filmed a sneak preview of the upcoming X-Files movie sequel, due for release this July. And whaddaya know – despite being a horribly low-quality clip – it's actually enough to wipe hecklerspray's memory of the awful last few seasons of the show. Why, there's nary a T-1000 in sight!
What you will find, however, is Gillian Anderson digging something mysterious up in the snow, David Duchovny running around looking anxious, and a white-haired Billy Connolly pretending to be some sort of mysterious bad guy. Intriguing, you say? It is, rather, isn't it?

Why why why, surely after 3 million episodes and a dreadful movie we would have hoped that they’d given up on the whole idea, we can only assume that David Duchovny’s romantic lead or hand model is just not paying the $$$$ to keep him in underwater Atlantis palace (or wherever he lives).
Hey ho we’ll have lump it I guess, surely the movie producers should be concentrating on “A-Team 2008”, “Manimal the Movie” or if there is any justice “Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light”
We can only keep our fingers crossed hope.

I understand this website, I get it. Everyone makes fun of everything. Very clever. But if there is one thing I will not stand for it is someone slamming The X-Files and saying that every episode and the movie were crap. I have no defense except to say that they were most certainly not. They were moments of brilliance and wonder in an otherwise dreary world. And the sexual tension between the characters. Legendary. That’s what kept them going. So many shows these days are destroyed by the leads getting it on far too soon.

“I understand this website, I get it.”
No, it is painfully apparent that you do not.

Snapper, when I first discovered this site they were trashing my beloved Beatles to no end, but it was all in fun and I laughed until I fell out my chair and broke some ribs.
Anyway, don’t let it get to you. Just remember what Pathos the Clown always says: “Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Don’t laugh and the world laughs at you.”
Or was that Adolf Hitler?

Didn’t anyone else read the phrase ‘awful last few seasons’ and realise that – before the rot set in – I actually really liked The X-Files?
Speelunk says
No, Adolph said: “Laugh and I will show you the destructive power of this fully operational blitzkreig”…or was that the emperor?
Snapper Winsten says
C J, My previous comment wasn’t directed to you it was to the comment above me. Carloselfunk. I know you didn’t call them all crap he/she/it did.
And, mst3kster I know, I really do get it but I just had to say my piece.
