You know what? It’s Friday and the sun’s out, so here’s just about the summeriest thing we could find for you – it’s The Garden by Cut Chemist.

You know Cut Chemist – he was the Jurassic 5 DJ for years, and he did that brilliant Brainfeeze mix with DJ Shadow a few years ago. And Cut Chemist has his own album coming out very soon, called The Audience’s Listening. Now, we haven’t heard The Audience’s Listening by Cut Chemist, but if The Garden is anything to go by, it’s going to be a stormer. In The Garden, Cut Chemist has thrown together just about every summery noise you can think of and churned it up into a lovely slice of summery goodness. A bit of Far Eastern plucking, some acoustic guitar, a snatch of strings sampled from a song we know we’ve heard before and a woman cooing away in Portuguese. If all of The Audience’s Listening by Cut Chemist is like The Garden, we’re going to camp outside HMV until it’s released.

Needless to say, the second we down tools and step outside we’ll complain that it’s too hot and that all the people everywhere are pissing us off but, for now, The Garden by Cut Chemist is more than enough to put us in a lovely calm mood.
