Bangs hecklerspray is on the lookout for a few more arch-critics of popular culture. Can you write? Can you bite? Want to make it as a writer?

Read on, wannabe neu-journalist of the modern age…

Yup, we’re expanding and we’re in need of more beautiful people to chronicle the ups and downs of all that is populist and niche within the murky world of entertainment.

Experience is less necessary than a grasp of grammar, a laconic turn of phrase and some kind of wit (you can argue the case if need be).

We want Real Fans. Afficionados. Know your subjects: Film, music, TV, games. Celebs if you’re desperate. Internet coolness and musings on popular culture.

We want writers that are hungry to get across some kind of message, however right-on or left-on, mainly since we subscribe to the fact that people are filters and The News is Always Subjective.

We demand fact over fiction and ideally some knowledge about what makes The Fall so very good (High Art, we reckon, but do let us know if you think otherwise. Uh…). That said, we do publish stories about Tom and Mariah and Abi and Posh, if you haven’t already noticed. They matter too.

hecklerspray is based in London and is a Google News source, so we are predominantly in need of more news and reviews, as well as features and maybe the odd column. Suggest something. We’re all ears.

Writers that stay up late to watch 120 Minutes and Curb Your Enthusiasm may be preferred to those who don’t. Tell us about yourself and your dreams with brutal precision: hecklerspray@gmail.com.

NB: we’re also on the verge of launching some new blogs so writers not interested in entertainment should let us know how we can help you. We’re planning on reverse-engineering some new newsblogs in other areas so get in touch if you fancy a slice of the action.

Be good, people.
