Lee Ryan, Westlife Win Awards For Being Worst At Music

Westlife, Lee Ryan, Lisa Scott-Lee. All names that fill normal, intelligent people with fear and hatred. But fear not - these three acts are now officially really bad; the Naomi awards say so.
The Naomi awards are named after super-tard Naomi Campbell and her short-lived music career (she released a single called Love And Tears
in 1994). It is a ‘light-hearted awards ceremony’ - which really means that they completely mean everything they say, but claim it to be ‘fun’ to avoid legal action - run by digital channel Music Choice to find the very worst in bad music from the last year.
The
big winners of the Naomi awards were Lisa Scott-Lee, Lee Ryan and Westlife (CDs). Scott-Lee,
who has more first names than really necessary, came through strongly at
the Naomi awards - but has yet to confirm or deny whether she’ll come
good on the promise made last year to retire from music, or as the public refer to it, to ‘piss
off and stop bothering us’. Music Choice director Simon George said of the event:
"The Naomi Awards are a chance for true music
aficionados to point the finger at those artists who have made truly
awful music in the past year."
Obviously, there’s been a tidal wave of terrible shit music hurled at our ears over the last year, so choosing winners of the Naomi awards proved to be tougher than usual. However, here are the acts who - absolutely conclusively - took Naomi awards home for being exceptionally bad.

- Worst Pop Act - Lisa Scott-Lee
- Worst International Male Solo Artist - Jack Johnson
- Worst International Female Solo Artist - Jessica Simpson
- Worst International Album - Westlife, Face to Face
- Worst International Group - Westlife
- Worst International Breakthrough Artist - Pussycat Dolls
- Outstandingly Bad Contribution to Music - Westlife
Sure enough, some of you out there will disagree with these
decisions, but it’s too late. Maybe the best thing for you to do is
hang your sorry faces in shame.

This must be a joke.Lee Ryan is one of the best male solo artists i have ever seen.Immediately in the all rise blue song i noticed he stood out from the other group members.Its difficult to put into words short of writing a book but he was not camera shy he hit the high notes to perfection.He has publicly admitted he will not use play back or mime any song a fact creating the split of Blue.The man is inspirational.Any criticism is unbelievable.Example Breath Easy not only did Lee Ryan write this song he co produced it .A megastar in the making this was the real Lee Ryan shining through.Anyone who has any doubts about Lee Ryan should go and see him sing live .Breath Easy is a very difficult song to sing and its sung to perfection both live and on television and another example is Stand Up As People off the war cry album magnificent a powerfull voice that very easily performs the high notes without difficulty and thats simply because he puts all his power love and devotion into his singing and if he is studied as seriously as i have taken him you can tell the song is being sung straight from his heart.Robbie Williams can write and sing almost anything and the public simply enjoy it and buy it.If my memory serves me correctly at 38yr old he was responsible for the Take That split and look where he is now!!!,Lee you are a star and the public haven,t even seen or touched the best of you yet mate.I rest my case.Thankyou for a great UK opening gig at Shepherds Bush Empire, Lee it was worth the 1400 mile round trip and i would definately do it all over again and all this from a man who likes various types of music and artists from Cher, Tina Turner to Franz Ferdinand, Nicki French ,Bonnie Tyler written by Robert Fitchet.

Lee Ryan has only just begun his solo career.I find the award ludicrous.I immediately noticed Lee Ryan was gifted with excellent singing talent when Blue arrived with All Rise.The man is inspirational.He stood out from the other band members leading the way with all the high notes and a star was born.He can hold his head high and laugh at this award.Take Breathe Easy not only did he write the song he co directed it and gave a first class performance of his hidden talents.Lee Ryan showed us exactly what he can do with his vocal talents with this number placing Blue well and truly on the map.He also done a solo song called Stand Up As People for the War Cry Album.What a performance and what a voice.This man LEE RYAN is allegedly responsible for the split of Blue?!!!!,didn,t Robbie Williams split up Take That?.Robbie can sing anything and everyone buys it.I believe that there is no valid reason for this award.If you listen to Lee Ryan carefully he is unique.He sings straight from the heart and that is what makes him and his music so magnificent different and seperates him from the rest.Never have i ever witnessed live such a powerfull voice.All this from a 38yr old man who listens to Cher ,Tina Turner ,Franz Ferdinand and Nicki French,Bonnie Tyler to K T Tunstall and likes variable artists who perform all types of music.I must say i am very fussy about music as i tend to like songs with meaning to them and only if they are performed well.Lee Ryan can do both.The man is inspirational.Still in doubt buy his album its the best iv,e heard yet these days in a world of music that lacks artists that sing straight from the heart with lyrics with no meaning begining to end.See him perform live you actually feel the power of the songs and a heartfelt excellent performance Watch out UK here he comes Lee Ryan!!! ..Lee Ryan it,s only just begun watch this man rise to fame worldwide.Keep up the excellent work Lee and lets have a huge UK tour and show the public who you really are and exactly what you can do.Well done mate .I REST MY CASE .

That seems a fair point to me.I have said my piece with reference to Mr Lee Ryan and his lifestyle and career in rather a long description.It appears that our public couldn,t give a monkeys what the media say or what these polls results are.On reflection perhaphs any loyal fan wouldn,t waist there time responding to such dribble and nonsence.Me i am a great believer in fairness and equality and felt it correct to comment on Mr Ryan and his career giving the fact i attended his gig on 14/2/06.As stated an amazing performance with many surprises and laughs along the way and a great night to remember.In the end its really true what the critics say dont believe anything you read in a news article apart from the date on it as its a small matter that finishes a scandal.Given the Fact Lee Ryan has been abroad more than anything lately it proves my point entirely ,italy etc etc etc and venues sold out worldwide.The man can even sing in italian so the fracas can finally be laid to rest.Lee Ryan can continue with his succesfull career and the world can watch and learn.without prejudice to this or any other article or newspaper company or MR LEE RYAN.WELL DONE LEE RYAN GOOD LUCK MATE NOT THAT YOU WILL NEED IT “YOUR A STAR”

Perhaps whoever decided to award Lee Ryan worst British Male Artist should have been at the sell out performance at Shepherds Bush Empire last Tuesday. To hear this extremely talented young man sing live was a joy. A real range of songs from the first three hits off his debut album to singing duets with Mica Paris, Kim Mazell & Simon Webbe. Highlight was Lee’s acoustic rendition of “In the morning”.
Can’t wait for the next album and to see Lee perform live again.

i think it’s a disgrace to give lee ryan that award.
he has onlt just started a career and is amazing.
i have seen him live in concert and at least he can sing.
he is one of the very little singers who wants to sing live and doesn’t mime.
I think he is an amazing singer and much better than anyone thinks.
You haven’t given him a chance to show his music.
i was at the concert too and he was truly amazing.if he was that bad, then soul singers mica paris and kym mazelle wouldn’t of agreed to do te show.

hey wats that ıt ıs a joke but ı thınk lee ryan deserve it ıts true lee ryan has a perfect sound and really good person but ı never want to make an album alone own hıs own …but ı thınk ıts a wrong decısıon .. coz there are alot bad musıcıan and they gave to lee ryan …. ım so confused coz ı always agaınst to solo album …but he couldnt be chosen the worst….. do u angry ???

Lee has really wonderful voice.

i can’t belive it, what award they give it to lee. open your years your souls and listen about what he sings from all his heart. he-s a talent for all the people and he has the most powerfull voice i ever heard.he’s voice it make you to dream, to feel like your in heaven….i love his voice.in my opinion he’s the greatest singer i ever heard…he’s unic.but i know lee would never give up because not only have a great and unic talent and a great voice but he have that ambition ho never fear to show everyone what he can do…onestly i can’t belive it what award they give it

What’s up with that?
OK- i agree about wetlife ‘coz they have been putting out the same track for ten years but with a different name, but Lee?
Lee Ryan is by far the most talented young bloke in England and i don’t understand why some people think the opposite…
His voice is beautiful, he is a gifted sonwriter, and if you listen to his album you find different styles of music, from soul to pop, performed perfectly by Lee Ryan.
I’m really glad that so many people have written that they apreciate Lee! This is proof that the award he was given does not reflect reality, and i hope that people will listen to his music before deciding if he is worth it or not, and that they don’t rely only on awards.
i rest my case!
Lee is the best and in a few years time everyone will say the same…

i went to the lee ryans first solo tour in london on the 14th of february i must say to him dont listen to what people say about you,you can sing and that is all that matters if you could not sing you would not be where you are today well done the concert was great and i would go again.Not only an amazzzzzzsing voice but fit x

I wonder if Lee Ryan actually reads this?,perhaphs an online search with my name Lee Ryan and a link would take Lee Ryan straight to this site and others that blast his career.Who knows perhaphs the man himself (despite all the nasty rumours ref to me and him)shall indeed become involved, and put his own feedback in if any.Without any contact with Lee i am sure he will be pleasantly surprised that i defend him and his career against all odds and finally put the Robert Fitchet/Lee Ryan rumours to an end .We are not and will not be the next Mark feehily and Kevin McDaid.He did not write “wish the whole world knew “as a sad reminder of a nite with me and all your nasty comments have been removed from various sites and blogs after threats of Libel Legal Action by myself.I defend Lee Ryan as a solo talented male artist no more no less and follow his career as a devoted fan.Thankyou for all your positive and negative comments emails etc etc and the interest you have all shown through my various articles but i still insist Lee Ryan is simply an excellent unique talented artist on his way to the top.You can dub me “Elton Jock ” laughable really simply for the reason i have been identified as a Scotsman who follows Lee Ryan and his career with interest.It would appear that after you culprits who dubbed me “Elton Jock” are now also Blue(faced with anger) and singing “Sorry seems to be the hardest word” SO SAD .Robert Fitchet.

i cannot belive that lee ryan recieved worst male solo, he is the best live act i have ever seen i have seen him sing many times LIVE (which is more than you can say 4 most artists) both with blue and solo he has an amazing voice and is just so hugely talented i would love to know who voted 4 this and what music they listen to. though i do agree with westlife because they just bring out the same music every time and never get the hint to go away and stay away i hoped it would be the end of them when brian left but no, ill just have to keep hoping!, though i feel lee has let himself down by doing a show with them in may at lincoln but never mind lee we forgive you!

Lee Ryan is a durge on todays music scene, his music can only be described as elevator music, his songs dont have a tune and are musically floored. i presume many kids are purchasing his records just like they are with chico. its a disgrace that this type of music is making him sickly rich on the back of adolecent kids that dont know any better and are just following the wheel. i wish he never existed. thankyou please.
