In other retraction news, The LA Times has retracted its album review of Diddy’s “Press Play”.

The critic, Byron Burgermeister, has been suspended without pay after it was discovered he actually reviewed “Just Push Play”, the 2001 album from hard rock outfit Aerosmith.

“I don’t know what happened,” said Burgermeister in an interview after the error was discovered. “I remember thinking he was kinda taking a lot of samples from Aerosmith, and thought it was an homage to Run DMC. I must have been high.”

Burgermeister’s review of the record as “a solid, if unspectacular, entry into the world of mainstream rock from one of hip-hop’s preeminent personalities” has officially been retracted, and the Times has promised an actual review of Diddy’s music just as soon as they can find anyone willing to listen to it.
