Kristen Stewart’s likability rating has gone up significantly in my books since the end of Robsten and the birth of adorable gayelle K-Stew. And while Kristen Stewart announcing that she’s “like, so gay” on Saturday Night Live made all the sense in the world given how she’s always come across, Stewart wants you to know she wasn’t faking her romantic relationships with dudes.
Stewart, who is currently one half of my favourite celebrity lesbian couple (the other half being supermodel Stella Maxwell), recently chatted with Harper’s Bazaar UK about shit like perfume and her sexuality. You know, just girly things!
Early in her career, Stewart was famously riding dick and even more famously cheated on Robert Pattinson with another dude which left me super shocked because I always suspected she preferred chicks. Since the end of Robsen, Kristen has basically been exclusively dating chicks, however that doesn’t mean she’s sworn off the dick for life. Kristen compared her sexuality to eating grilled cheese sandwiches which made me like her even more than I’ve already grown to. On being open to dating men again:
“Yeah, totally. Definitely…Some people aren’t like that. Some people know that they like grilled cheese and they’ll eat it every day for the rest of their lives. I want to try everything. If I have grilled cheese once I’m like ‘That was cool, what’s next?'”
I take this statement to mean that once Kristen is done with white cisgender dudes and chicks, she’s going to move on to black cisgender folks. Then maybe Latinos. Then Asians. Then once she’s worked through all the cisgender races she’ll start over with transgender males to females, work through all their races, then start over with transgender females to males, etc. Who knows where Kristen Stewart might end up! Home girl could be dating a horse in 20 years! I assume that’s what “try everything” means.
In regards to her past relationships, even though Kristen is clearly a perfect lesbian goddess, it doesn’t mean she was faking her relationships with guys, she said:
“I’ve been deeply in love with everyone I’ve dated. Did you think I was faking it? I’ve always really embraced a duality. And really, truly believed in it and never felt confused or struggling.”
While I think being comfortable with her duality is awesome, does Kristen really expect us to believe she’s been deeply in love with everyone she’s dated? Girl, no twenty-something is legit in love with everyone they date. I’m not even sure I even liked everyone I dated in my 20s! Foolishness.
