If you are a long-term music/vinyl afficionado you need to stop what you are doing and immediately visit knockoff*project, which has painstakingly collated hundreds of original album covers alongside hundreds of rip-offs.

It is widely known, for example, that the Clash borrowed a fron cover from Elvis, but so too did Tiny Tim, Hasil Adkins and one Tony Blair, among others.

So too we see the look and feel of Bob Dylan’s ‘Bringing It All Back Home’ cover flagrantly lifted by Ray D’Ariano, who opted for a rather less-subtle ‘Are You On Something?’ for his LP title.

El_vez_aladdinsaneOur favourite, was by somebody called Elvez, who has gone to the trouble of applying a bunch of make-up to transform himself into ‘A Lad From Spain?’. Genius…

Which one floats your boat?
