We all have our passions, including renowned badass Kiefer Sutherland, who appears in this action-packed, cupcake-themed commercial from the folks at Acer. Yes, they’re the laptop people, and yes, I just used “action-packed” and “cupcake-themed” in the same sentence.
In the video, Sutherland is on a mission. In typical Jack Bauer fashion, he takes on this mission full force. His assignment? Cupcakes. He wants to make cupcakes. And by shaking down an unsuspecting stranger and intimidating a woman in a grocery store, he sets out to accomplish this moist and fluffy goal.
“Who’s your supplier?” Kiefer interrogates an innocent cupcake truck driver. “Where do you get your flour?
He then asks the frightened woman in the baking aisle: “Where’s the icing?” After getting back to HQ, Sutherland then uses his Acer S5 laptop to look up a tasty cupcake recipe online. He bakes. There are explosions. Deliciousness ensues.
Acer produced the spot in promotion of their new S5 Ultrabook. The company touts that their new creation is the world’s thinnest Ultrabook, measuring only 15mm at its thickest point.
Yup, it’s definitely thinner than a Macbook Air. But there’s more to the S5 than its scary skinny frame:
Acer Green Instant On wakes the Aspire S5 Series in 1.5 seconds, and you’re online in just 2.5 seconds…On resume, Acer Instant Update automatically refreshes webpages and email, so you’re always set to go. AcerCloud enables anytime, anywhere access to all your files on all your devices, even across multiple operating systems.
It’s skinny, dependable, and Kiefer Sutherland uses it to make cupcakes. What more do you want?
