Podcasting, like blogging that preceded it (though that never really took off), is currently all the go in cyberpunkland. Which is why you can now catch a bit of Kiefer Sutherland getting on the act if you fancy.

Fans of the never-ending saga of 24 can toddle off to Kaydo and hear a bit more gossip about the show, along with a bit of general hero worship for all things Jack Bauer recorded as a downloadable mp3.

Hmmm, portable…

Haven’t got a clue what a Podcast is? Still think URL is a courier service? Internet-speak is pretty pointless and verging on silly at times, but unfortunately it is relevant. You can’t walk the walk if you don’t talk the talk, G.

In a crispy-coated nutshell the podcast is an audio file available for you to hear online. It’s downloaded via some piece of ‘do it all for you’ software that’s normally attached to the file’s link. Great fun in a voyeuristic ‘does that sound like a guy or a girl?’ type way. Maybe even a saving grace if your last name’s Miller and you live in the most parking friendly place in London.

At this point we surely don’t need to warn you about downloading strange links, do we…?

Try the excllent Lavasoft message boards if we do. Those guys could remove the paparazzo from your hard drive if you found them there. Though it’s probably best to take a picture of your own first, because that would be amazing frankly.

Using a podcast within a blog is a bit of new one. If your mobile costs more than your car (there are people, believe us) or you just have to be first with this type of stuff, you can download podcasts to your mp3 player as easy as wink. If it’s a revolution we want you to know about it first.

What would Nathan Barley say? ‘Where’s my second series’ probably.

Buy yourself an iPod (and try not to get it stolen) for a measly £69
