Keith Richards Home Great Rolling StonesKeith Richards has been on a kind of extended activity holiday of late; it's just a shame that the activities involved getting drunk, falling out of a coconut tree and having a drill rammed into his brain.

But all holidays must come to an end, and so has Keith Richards'. It's only been a few weeks since Keith busted up his noggin after dropping five metres onto his head in Fiji, but already the elderly rocker is back home and "feeling great," according to a recent statement.

With every day that passes, we become more and more convinced that Keith Richards is some kind of superhero. If we had spent the afternoon drinking in Fiji like he reportedly did - never mind the dropping out of a tree onto our head bit - we'd still be laid up in bed with a psychotic hangover. But in that same space of time Keith Richards got airlifted to New Zealand, had a drill plonked into his skull and has now recovered enough to get up, be creepy to nurses and go home. A statement on the official Rolling Stones website reads:

"Keith Richards has arrived back home in the U.S from New Zealand. He is feeling great, happy to be home and looking forward to getting back on the road with the Rolling Stones next month."

Meanwhile, Keith Richards' publicist is going to great lengths to make sure that nobody thinks his injuries were all that serious. Rumours had been circulating that Keith needed two operations instead of one, that he'd been left with brain damage from the fall and that his head was so full of holes that if he held his nose and strained, ribbons of brain would spurt out of his head like a gruesome Play Doh Fuzzy Pumper, but that's apparently not the case:

"Keith Richards did not undergo a separate operation. The first and only operation was done on May 8 and was 100 percent successful. There was no brain damage. He continues to improve as expected."
