Queen of triviality and professional ‘kook’ Katy Perry this weekend appeared on ITV1’s World Cup Live show dressed in a horrendously tasteless PVC dress.

The viewing public was nearly robbed of this dubious treat as Perry had earlier tweeted –

”Another amazing race for a dress has happen again. Important dress. It’s on a plane now, but plane had 2 emergency stop cuz someone passed away mid flight! So sad! So we’ll see if the dress makes it in time… If not, my world cup convo is gonna take a beating on the chat show.”

At time of writing it is not known if Perry’s sadness referred to the loss of human life or the possibility that she would be unable to once-again dress as a novelty prostitute.

The low-cut high-hemmed eyesore featured half the Union Jack, the other the Stars and Stripes to highlight her current key markets. Obviously unsure as to which of her natural attributes would best suit each flag, she classily opted to have one breast and one buttock covered in each.

Fortunately for all concerned – excluding the deceased – the ‘important dress’ arrived in time ensuring that there was plenty of ‘convo’ to be had on the show, hosted by unsympathetic slab-faced James Corden.

It is understood much of the ‘convo’ involved Katy Perry’s slutty dress.

So it’s not all bad news.
