If ever there was an actor we’d like to be punched in the face by – or shot in the chest by, or stabbed to death with a pen by, for that matter – it’d have to be Joe Pesci. He does it with such style, you see.

It’s been alleged that Joe Pesci hit a fan in the face last month, after the fan foolishly decided to ask for his autograph. But the story has a happy ending, to some extent. Police aren’t going to charge Joe for assault due to lack of evidence.

In January when Juan Carlos Montenegro saw Joe Pesci (CDs/DVDs) in a shopping
centre car park, he must have been hoping that it was the pratfalling,
softhearted goon Joe Pesci from Home Alone and not the snarling
murderer Joe Pesci from, well, all the other Joe Pesci films. But that
wasn’t the case, and Juan apparently got punched in the gob for his trouble. At the time, The Mirror reported that:

[Juan] asked Pesci, 62, if he
could take his picture, and
the star said "not now". But the student followed the actor and took a
snap anyway. "Furious" Pesci then allegedly hit him. Montenegro told
Pesci he shouldn’t have done that, and the star replied: "You shouldn’t
have been interrupting my business."

But
the following police investigation didn’t uncover too much evidence,
and Florida assistant state attorney Jill Estey Richstone admitted that
no assault charges will be made against Pesci:

"The investigating
officer was unable to determine who the primary aggressor was and there
are no independent witnesses to the incident."

Or, rather, all the independent witnesses are all buried in the desert with screwdrivers poking out of their necks. Possibly.

Couldn’t find a picture of Pesci so they used one of Barrymore instead?!
