Moses had a people to lead. He walked 'em through the desert, turned a river into blood, and sent frogs to run up people's loose-fitting bottomless Egyptian skivvies.
Andrew Jackson led people by sending the army to march them barefoot and tattered to the barren American mid-west, minutes before said people were intending to start dinner. What we're getting at here is leaders throughout history have demonstrated unique and distinctive boss-people-around type styles. Jesse Jackson is no different. His current method of choice is to wreak havoc on Seinfeld season 7's holiday DVD sales.
Welcome to hell, Jerry, welcome to hell.
As you all know by now, last weekend Michael Richards pointed at some black people and said that which ought not be said. He screamed the n-word like a thousand times or something, and in the process of doing so really thinned out the audience of the club he was doing his stand up in.
Since then he's apologised in a bunch of formats, including to Al 'seems to have misplaced his track suits' Sharpton, and Jesse 'The Rainbow/PUSH' Jackson. The apologies are falling on deaf ears. Kind of – while both men technically heard the apology, Al Sharpton refused it outright, and Jackson seems a little wary too. According to E! Online:
"The Reverend Jesse Jackson called for a boycott Monday of the latest Seinfeld DVD, a way of exacting economic punishment for Richards' racist meltdown."
It is unknown whether the plea will do any good. But maybe it doesn't have to. If we had inside sources, which we don't, they'd be telling us that Michael Richards has already regained black acceptance by pledging an oath to both the Crips & the Bloods. Some might cite a distinct conflict of interest there, but not Richards – he doesn't see colours.

Hell no. Seinfeld is funny, and I got the DVD a few days before Michael Richards made his rant.
Why should the 10 year old work of comedy geniuses like Larry David suffer because of this?

DAY 3 OF THE BOYCOTT OF “JESSE JACKSON” NOT Seinfeld DVD!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUPPORTING MY BOYCOTT OF JESSE JACKSON…
THIS MAY HURT MY CHANCES OF BEING INVITED BACK TO JESSE’S NEXT BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION BUT SO BE IT!!! HE CAN TAKE BACK MY RAINBOW PUSH CARD TOO AND HE CAN KEEP THE MONEY I PAID HIM FOR IT!!!
[email protected]
I am a card carrying member of Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow PUSH (paid $65 for a two year membership in late ’05) I even was invited for free by Rainbow PUSH to attend his birthday celebration at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in ‘ 05 too. But to stop all artist from making their fair share of royalty money on a DVD is plain wrong when the artist and the companies behind the series never endorsed Michael Richards’ racial comments.
Second, the N-word is extremely hurtful but I still think this is America and you have the rights to free speech as well as free association with unpopular groups.
Michael Richards has the rights to say on stage what he said but he and he alone should bare the social banishment and loss of future work (not past works) and not his co-workers or companies Michael Richards once worked for or is in a profit sharing deal with.
This is like going to The Republic of Iraq and looking for weapons of mass distruction and killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people and causing a civil war just because we didn’t find any.
Wrong is wrong.
That is why I will be buying season 7 of the Sienfeld Season and sending the DVD to our troops (i.e. and unknown soldier) in Iraq as an apology for the war and for Jesse Jackson’s boycott. I stress everybody else to join me – take the tax write off and DO IT FOR CHRISTMAS or before the NEW YEAR.
Inclosing – “He who is without sin throw the first stone.” Michael Richards bashing too.
Yes, its Day 3 and I am calling a national boycott of Jesse Jackson for his and other African American Leaders attempts to shake-down Jerry Seinfeld Et. Al over Michael Richard’s racial tirade.
Well, THANK YOU AMERICA for not listening to Jesse and his posse and buying the 7th Season Seinfeld DVD at record numbers. If we really push it yall we can make the Seinfeld 7th Season DVD the biggest selling DVD of all times in the good name of the Rev. Jackson!!!
You can do it AMERICA!!!
hERE IS WHY i AM SO PISSED AT JESSE JACKSON, MAXINE WATERS AND THE REST OF THE AFRICAN AMERICAN LEADERS:
THIS IS A NEWS STORY I JUST FOUND OVER THE JESSE SHAKE-DOWN!!!!
Jesse Jackson calls for Seinfeld boycott

If you’ve been following the Michael Richards apology tour, you know that the actor made an appearance on the Reverend Jesse Jackson’s Keep Hope Alive radio program in which he claimed to be “shattered” by his own remarks. That wasn’t good enough for the Rev. The day after Richards’ appearance, Jackson called for a boycott of the recent seventh season Seinfeld DVD release to punish the actor where it really hurts – the pocketbook.
How boycotting the Seinfeld DVD set would actually hurt Richards is beyond me. Between syndication points and a series-run as Kramer, I think Richards is pretty set financially. As a symbolic act or even one motivated by publicity, I suppose a boycott makes a bit more sense — but not much seeing as Richards’ words were spewed without the consent of the entire cast and crew of Seinfeld. (I’ve linked to it in the past, but if you want a better reason to hold Seinfeld suspect, check out hip-hop artist Danny Hoch’s monologue about his scheduled appearance on the show.)
Jackson also called for an end to the use of the “N-word” by all people – including hip-hop artists and black comedians. Jamie Masada, the owner of the Laugh Factory at which Richards hurled the now infamous string of epithets, announced that the “N-word” would be banned at the club. Wouldn’t that effectively shut-out up-and-coming Dave Chappelle-types from ever appearing there? Self-censorship is not what comedians do best. What happened to reclaiming words as an act of empowerment? Or, I don’t know, just the notion of “context?”

Subject: Michael Richard tirade then the African American Leaders tells me after the press conference they want “Jerry to pay. He’s got enough money.”
Larry,
Right is right – wrong is wrong!
Chris Jackson here – Thanks for helping me out when I was down on my luck. I love you for your compassion. It is my honor to attempt to do what is right for my friends whom which I will always include you as one.
As you know I know many people and/or politically connected people. My point here is to warn you that you and Jerry are getting a “shake-down” just because you have millions and nothing more than that.
I after seeing that press conference where Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Jessie Jackson and other Leaders of the African American Community were attempting to call a Boycott against Seinfeld DVD and syndicated run, I immediately callled one of the leaders at the press conference on their cell phone to find out why the hell are “they” are calling for a boycott of Seinfeld for Michael Richards’ racial tirade at the Laugh Factory ?!? – I was stunned to here, “We want Jerry to pay. He’s got enough money.”
That is just wrong – Jerry nor you nor Castle Rock TV should pay one penny for what Michael Richard racial tirade. Especially not because of a shakedown.
Immediately after I heard of the incident I left a message for Michael Richards (he’s one of my myspace friends before the incident) on myspace to contact me so that I can help him deal with the African American community with his apology. But instead I guess he didn’t read his myspace email or comment page because he went into the Lions den and got bitten along with you and Jerry.
Again, this is wrong that Jerry, you or anybody connected with the Seinfeld show should be held hostage because of what Michael Richards said on stage. It’s Michael not anybody else should be the one to say he’s sorry agains and again until every racial group finds a way to get Jerry to pay because he’s rich.

NIGGER! NIGGER, NIGGER NIGGER!!! There. Is your screen melting? Are your eyes burning? No, they are not. What is the big deal here? Is anybody really hurt by the dreadful “n-word”? No. Seriously, am I the only person that is sick and tired of people bitching and moaning about how hurtful the word nigger is? Come on people, it’s not that big a deal, really. Grow up. Just grow the fuck up.

Oh, and Chris Jackson? Do you really think anybody is taking you seriously? For christ’s sake learn some fucking english before you post a ten-page rant.
