Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn, the 'you're not the only one that can sleep with a co-star, Brad' celebrity couple who have literally bored the living arses off every man, woman and child on the face of the planet, have decided to actually split up.
According to statements issued by both slaves for both stars Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn have chosen to break up with each other, ending a year-long relationship which has taken in filming the much-hyped movie The Break-Up, promoting the various international theatrical releases of The Break-Up and seeing out the big pre-Christmas DVD release of The Break-Up. Now, following the less than shocking Jennifer Aniston/ Vince Vaughn split, we're inviting you to join the hecklerspray office pool to see just when Jennifer Aniston gives her first self-pitying – yet overcompensatingly defiant and emotionally distant – magazine interview all about how she's really fine about all of this, no really she is really. We've got dibs on December 18th, by the way.
Not a good week for sticking by your partner, is it? First Lance Bass split up with the guy whose name we can't be bothered to type, and then Mel B and Eddie Murphy bit the dust, too. But both those mediocre couples have been have been blown out of the water by the news that Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn have split up. No, really, they actually have this time.
For just over a year now we've been observing the ups and downs of Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn's relationship with interest, from Vince Vaughn's first garbled description of sex with Jennifer Aniston and the time that Vince Vaughn wasn't quite drunk enough to be arrested for drink-driving, through the time when Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn shacked up, possibly got engaged and denied that Oprah Winfrey was spending $8 million on their wedding, to the current, not especially traumatic news that Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn have split up.
Of course we've been here before; a few weeks ago it was reported that Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn had split up, only for Jennifer Aniston to barge onto Oprah and deny the split while Vince Vaughn tried to sue anyone that thought he had cheated on Jennifer Aniston. That these stories neatly coincided with the DVD release of The Break-Up – easily the worst film we've paid to watch all year – was just a huge cosmic fluke, we're sure. But now it looks like Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn really have split up, as Aniston and Vaughn slaves Stephen Huvane and John Pisani released this joint statement to People yesterday:
"After Jennifer's trip to London several weeks ago, Jennifer and Vince mutually agreed to end their relationship, but continue to be good friends today."
We've checked this out, and – since we can't see a new Special Edition Director's Cut DVD of The Break-Up being released anywhere, we're inclined to believe that Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn really have split up this time. It's always undeniably sad when a filmstar couple break up at the end of a movie's promotional cycle, but we shouldn't be too upset – because this should hopefully be the end of the uncomfortably content Jennifer Aniston and a welcome return to the topless-posing, pity party-throwing, bizarre interview-giving Jennifer Aniston who screams at the sea about how sick the Bermuda Triangle is whenever she can. And that's the only Christmas present we wanted.
