Jennifer Aniston has broken our hearts lately – by not bitching and complaining about Brad Pitt nine times every millisecond, she's depriving us all of a previously endless source of entertainment.
But all is not lost – because now Jennifer Aniston has started bitching and complaining about Friends, the sitcom that made her famous, rich and attractive to A list filmstars. It's good to have you back, Jennifer.
Nature abhors a vacuum, this much we know. And this is just as relevant to Jennifer Aniston's yammering mouth as it is to gaseous pressure. Only last month, Jennifer Aniston decided to keep quiet – for once – when she was questioned on TV about a wedding to Vince Vaughn. And it seems like Jennifer has given up banging on about Brad Pitt, too. But, without anything to complain about, the pressure built and built inside Jennifer Aniston until it all came blustering out.
The source of Jennifer Aniston's problems this time? Friends, the rubbish yet inexplicably popular TV sitcom that helped Jennifer Aniston become famous and Matthew Perry become addicted to Vicodin. Talking to Hotdog magazine, Aniston griped:
"Episodic television is gruelling and it was years and years of the same thing. I really don't think [I'd ever go back to television], and not just because I'm above it, but because I really don't think I could ever top that experience."
That's good – we thought we were the only ones who thought Friends was gruelling and repetitive. Maybe Jennifer Aniston should try her hand at something less gruelling and repetitive than standing in a studio looking a bit vacant, like working on a factory production line or in a coal mine or something.
Still, Jennifer Aniston's new anti-TV stance means that the long-rumoured Friends reunion movie seems a bit more likely than the long-rumoured Friends reunion TV show. Until Jennifer Aniston looks at her movie career, realises that it's terrible and scampers back to the safety of TV, of course.
