James Bond Loses His Teeth, Gets Defended By Dracula
Then buzz it up

Just as Casino Royale looked as if it was finally ready to move ahead without any of the cock-ups that have dogged production, James Bond had his teeth punched out by an overzealous henchman.
It’s just another in a long line of mishaps for James Bond, Casino Royale and Daniel Craig. But at least some people are sticking up for him. Christopher Lee - the only actor in the world to play Dracula, a Star Wars baddie, a Lord Of The Rings baddie and a James Bond baddie - has lashed out at those who have prematurely condemned Casino Royale. We should watch it, he says, and then say how crap it is.
At the end of last week, everything looked peachy for James Bond and
Casino Royale. Mads Mikkelsen was finally named as the villain of the
piece, and French actress Eva Green was confirmed as the latest Bond
Girl. Bond producers must have breathed a sigh of relief - Casino
Royale had become a real movie with actors and everything, and filming
could steam ahead ready for the November release date. And then Daniel
Craig (DVDs) got punched in the face during an action scene with some minor
henchmen. According to an on-set insider:
"Daniel was
filming with some minor actors when he got hit in the face. He was
reeling from a heavy blow and staggered back holding his face. He put
his hand to his mouth but the blood started to seep through his fingers
- it was horrible."
More horrible than Daniel’s role
in that Tomb Raider film? Doubtful. Anyway, a special dentist was flown
to Prague from London to fix Daniel Craig’s teeth and he’ll also have
to wear a special gumshield for the rest of his action scenes.
Meanwhile, Daniel Craig and Casino Royale have been defended by
Christopher Lee, who played Scaramanga in James Bond movie The Man With
The Golden Gun. Lee told the Bangkok International Film Festival:
"There’s
been a lot of nonsense written about him being James Blonde… He’s
already been condemned. People should not pass judgement until they have
seen the film."
Spoilsport.

Guess looking back … this article looks pretty ridiculous.
You know, seeing as how Daniel Craig has been hailed as one of the best Bonds we’ve seen.
