I try to avoid watching Grey’s Anatomy, because I can’t stop thinking that they are WAY too old for all this Dawson’s Creek angst. But the nearest I can gather is that Washington was only rumoured to have said the new “F” word. Then he paraphrased said new crime against the thought police, to DENY having said it. So he never actually said it!
So paraphrasing the word faggot gets you into rehab or possibly fired-does that apply to me for paraphrasing it?! This makes me think of Bolshevism where accusations of anti-semitism got you the death penalty. I think some sanctimonious editorial in Time actually suggested that liking Borat is O.K. if it motivates you to be your own inner volunteer thought police.I’m scared! Someone needs to nip this brave new world in the bud.

I think the earlier posters are right. I don’t see why T.R. Knight couldn’t have been a big boy, not to mention a professional, and simply dealt with Washington on his own, privately, rather than turning this into some P.C. outcry. If someone offends me, I simply tell them I don’t appreciate it, and if they want to work with me I expect to be treated respectfully, end of story.
