Hey, you look like you’ve got more money than sense. Step inside, we’ve got quite an offer for you. That’s a nice iPod you have, but isn’t it a chore having to take it out of your pockets sometimes?

Imagine the unbelievable stress on your arms each time you have to haul your iPod from the pocket of your jeans to turn it on or off or to work out what blindingly esoteric song your impeccably varied playlist has thrown up. Wouldn’t it be so much easier if someone just invented a pair of iPod jeans? Guess what - someone has done just that. The Levi’s RedWire DLX iPod jeans are going on sale in the autumn.

It’s not a new thing for a company to invent iPod-compatible
clothes. There is already a range of waterproof snowboard jackets which
allow owners to control their iPod selections through a panel on the
jacket sleeve. But we can understand that - snowboarders are far too
busy hurtling down mountains on big ice-lolly sticks to have the time
to fumble around in their pockets each time they want to skip the
Backstreet Boys song that somehow ended up on their iPod.

But the Levi’s RedWire DLX iPod jeans promise to be the first
iPod-compatible clothing for normal gits too lazy to actually take
their iPods out of their pockets at all. Now, as brilliant as iPods obviously are, we’re not sure that the idea of iPod jeans is a good one. Maybe we’re wrong. After all, the Levi’s RedWire DLX iPod Jeans will come with several handy features:

- An iPod docking cradle will be built into the the Levi’s RedWire DLX iPod Jeans, to be ‘invisibly’
housed in a side pocket. The cradle comes with a red ribbon that allows
users to quickly and easily remove their iPod from their pocket while
remaining connected. The jeans are machine washable, but only once
you’ve removed the iPod, you hopeless dolt.

- A special joystick control is built into the watch pocket of the
Levi’s RedWire DLX iPod Jeans, allowing you to easily move through
tracks and control volume, all while convincing everyone else in the
same tube carriage that you are some kind of deranged groin-rubbing
pervert.

- The Levi’s RedWire DLX iPod Jeans come with a retractable
headphone unit built directly into them to "help prevent tangles and
efficiently
manage the iPod earphone wires"
.

- Levi’s RedWire DLX iPod Jeans come with the words ‘Mug Me Right
Now’
stitched into the back pockets, in special day-glo thread, so
people know what an insufferably smug fool you are day or night.

OK, that last one was a fib. The Levi’s RedWire DLX iPod Jeans go on sale this autumn, with an estimated price of around £113. And, yes, we do secretly want a pair.
