You know when The Wire started and you didn’t watch it because it seemed a bit impenetrable?
And then you know how everyone started banging on about how great The Wire was and bought all the DVD boxsets and you felt like a pariah – an actual pariah – because you didn’t know what they were talking about?
Well, Generation Kill is supposed to be the new The Wire, and it’s out on DVD next month. Don’t rush to the shops, though – we’ve apparently got some kind of giveaway in the offing. In the meantime, watch the Generation Kill trailer and marvel at all the explosions and shouting.
