By now you should have had enough reminders that the Hot Fuzz DVD is out on Monday (June 11), but what if that's not good enough? What if you'd prefer to see the director and stars of Hot Fuzz doing a live commentary at a screening of action films?
What's that… they are? This coming Sunday, the day before the Hot Fuzz DVD is released, those of you who can move quickly enough are cordially invited to the Hot Fuzztival – a super-rare and kind of unmissable event at the Prince Charles cinema in London. We'd tell you exactly what the Hot Fuzztival is all about, but Hot Fuzz director Edgar Wright wanted to do that himself, so here he is:
Hey muddy funsters. Join me at the Prince Charles on June the 10th for a marathon of hot cop action. Not only will we screen three of our favourite actions films, but you will get to see a totally unique live commentary from myself, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, as well as other special guests from our Bad Bobby opus HOT FUZZ.
And who can argue with the triple whammy of John Woo's classic HARD BOILED, the bruising, hilarious LAST BOY SCOUT and the palpable homo erotic tension of POINT BREAK.
I will be your host for the day, will join you in watching the marathon of bad-assery and will be flinging a few goodies and surprises your way.
Come join. First come, first served. And totally free.
Get there early. The hardcore will be duly rewarded.
Edgar
And if you can't make the Hot Fuzztival, Edgar Wright and Nick Frost will be signing copies of the Hot Fuzz DVD the following day at the Oxford Street branch of HMV from 1pm. And if you can't make that you can always just buy the Hot Fuzz DVD when it comes out on Monday. And if you can't do that, you can still enter our Hot Fuzz competition – don't forget we've got an exclusive signed Hot Fuzz poster and a bunch of bags to give away.
