Hell’s Kitchen Tonight - Mental Bald Fighting Mayhem

Hell’s Kitchen is quickly turning into wonderful television. Despite the fact that it’s basically two blokes teaching people how to cook, the show has grown more and more ridiculous with every episode.

Gary Rhodes has long since ditched his fake angry persona in favour of something more suited to him - a puffy-cheeked sulking schoolboy. When his team loses, he confusingly declares that he’s won. Next week - Gary holds his breath until he goes purple because someone cooked a flan for eight milliseconds too long.

But the real action happens in Jean-Christophe Novelli’s kitchen. He punches plates across the room! He tells girls to fuck off! He does Footloose-style high kicks! And tonight sees the inevitable conclusion of a nervous breakdown.

Not Novelli’s, of course. One of his trainees, Stein, a chubby bald chap. He’s been slowly feeling the pressure of competition, and tonight - according to RTE.ie - he loses his mind, throws a pan to the floor and threatens to headbutt his chef. He’s asked to leave the show, of course.

What hecklerspray can’t understand is: why is everyone getting so worked up? It’s not like they’re training to become marines or anything. They’re just cooking food. Since when did chopping mushrooms become such a Herculean feat of endurance?

Bunch of pansies, the lot of them.

And we’re sure this sacking tonight has nothing to do with Hell’s Kitchen being broadcast at the same time as The Apprentice.
