What’s the funnest thing in the world? Popping bubble wrap? No. Revolving doors? No. Arson? Well, obviously not arson.
The best, funnest thing in the world is spoiling everyone’s fun. Not in a ‘shoot their parents at their wedding’ way, but by telling them that Bruce Willis is a ghost in The Sixth Sense (DVDs) before they’ve seen it. Fun fun fun.
That’s why hecklerspray is launching Spoil Their Fun, an occasional series of movie spoilers. Imagine the fun you’ll have as a group of mates all talk about how much they’re looking forward to watching The Usual Suspects and you casually drop into the conversation with "Actually, Kevin Spacey is Keyser Soze".
However, we’re aware that although spoiling people’s fun is brilliant, it’s also morally reprehensible. So, to balance it out a little bit, we’re going to slip in one false spoiler to each article. Here’s this week’s crop of spoilers…
*At the end of Wedding Crashers, Owen Wilson crashes a funeral with Will Ferrell.
*Jennifer Connelly throws the girl out of the window at the end of the American version of Dark Water.
*Von Doom doesn’t die at the end of Fantastic Four.
*Willy Wonka builds an exact replica of Charlie’s house inside the factory at the end of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.
Now go and spoil like you’ve never spoiled before.

Don’t you, Mr Hecklerspray, think it high time everyone stopped “having a go” at a 19-year-old kid doing exactly what just about every other kid of her age does, or has done, at one time or another? Well, I do.
I’ve met and followed her (hypothetically speaking on the latter point) career since she first appeared on our little (non) square info-boxes… Hoax-boxes more like, but that’s a completely different thread.
I HAVE MET, and spent many a happy hour, with almost every member of the Church family – all except for Caroline and Bampy that is – and I found them to be just like any other family – Welsh or otherwise.
Please, PLEASE give the poor (no, no, the other kind of poor) kid some space… before we have yet another Lena Zavaroni (sp?) on our hands – or worse!
She will grow out of her current rebelliousness, of that I’m sure. And when she does, I plus a few million others will be there to welcome her to the sad, sad, world of “grown-ups”
Simon – Physical age 60 – preferred age – not even half that number. Why? At risk of once again repeating a very old, but oft used, quotation: “Youth is wasted on the young”.

Agreed and disagreed, as I’m sure do the hecklerspray lads. She’s in the media eye, for better or worse. In her case the publicity has helped her rake in millions. And what goes up… you know how it is with the tabloids.
I hope CC can take all that is written in the media with a fat pinch of salt. She only needs to look at the other stories to understand what a bunch of rubbish is written. But these are the times in which we live, and if you get fat off the media, then be prepared to take the rough with the smooth. Or something.
