Sorry for getting a couple of days behind on these. I had mywork Christmas party on Friday and we had a babysitter for the entire night anda hotel room, so mom got lit. Can I live? But anyway, back to the grind.
A bunch of major moments in pop culture this year, not surprisingly, involved Kanye West. From his rants on TMZ to his visits at the White House, to whatever it was he did on Saturday Night Live, Kanye stirred up controversary 24/7.
Saying that Kanye West went a bit over the top in 2018, even for Kanye West, is actually kind of an understatement.
This year, he went on TMZ and said that slavery was a choice, then he went to the White House and called Donald Trump Superman, then he dressed up as a water bottle on SNL and went on some random pro-Trump rant, and now he’s once again feuding with Drake (I’ll give a weekend update in another blog shortly), and it’s kind of been like, “What the fuck is going on with Kanye West?”
I mean, I know we’ve been saying “What the fuck is going on with Kanye West?” for a few years now, but I’m really at the point where it’s like, not even funny or amusing anymore, now it’s like, why isn’t Kim Kardashian getting him the help he admittedly needs? He’s being open about his mental illness, why isn’t anyone looking out for him? Jesus Christ, send the man on a fucking yoga retreat or something, Kim, instead of demanding he hand over more sperm so you can prep your child army and because Kris Jenner 2.0 in 20 years.
We all know that Kanye is always gonna Kanye, but I’m at the point where it’s like “Is he even Kanye-ing anymore? Because I don’t know who this is.”
