Harry Potter fans around the world should prepare for their painfully sensitive hearts to be broken – it’s been revealed that Harry Potter is probably going to die in the next Harry Potter book.
How do we know that Harry Potter is going to die? Did JK Rowling come down to Earth on a cloud to tell us about Harry Potter’s death in our sleep? No. Did we send a special Harry Potter spy into Rowling’s fortress to have a sneaky look at the first draft manuscript of the seventh Harry Potter book? No. In fact, some bloke who used to be in the Carry On films has a bit of a feeling that Harry Potter might die.
And things don’t get any more concrete than that, folks.
Jim Dale played such hilariously memorable movie roles as Dr
Jim Kilmore in Carry On Doctor and Dr Jimmy Nookey in Carry On Again Doctor
- roles which put him in the expert position of being able to predict
exactly what will happen in future Harry Potter (Stuff) books.
OK, that’s a lie. Jim Dale is also the voice of the American Harry Potter
audiobook series – something which, we’ll grudgingly admit, could possibly give him
a bit of a headstart about Harry Potter’s future. This is especially true given that Jim often has
meetings with JK Rowling to discuss the characterisation of
the parts. And he let slip the following Harry Potter nugget:
"She’s lived with Harry Potter so long she really wants to kill him off."
So
that’s it – Harry Potter is going to die. Dale’s statement echoes
something that Daniel Radcliffe said while promoting the latest Harry
Potter movie, Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire:
"It’s dangerous to say, ‘Daniel thinks Harry might die’. But I do
maintain there is a possibility he could be killed in the final book."

be a good time to start marketing wizardy tissues for Harry Potter fans to
blub into.
Predictably, JK Rowling isn’t confirming or denying any of these
rumours. However, she is said to have completed the last chapter of the
final Harry Potter book – and revealed that the very last word in the Harry
Potter series is "scar."
Does this mean that Harry Potter will die?
We’re not so sure – we have a possible sentence that could end the
final Harry Potter book in a nice way:
"And then, hiding underneath the invisibility cloak in the girl’s changing room, Harry Potter saw his first-ever hairy scar."

I found on google news, I’m a book seller and I could careless if harry dies or not. But, news and rumors are two different things. Oh yeah your boy that does the voice for the audio books, well If this is true and he did speak out of turn. I would bet he won’t be doing the finial audio book voice over.

It’s a scary thought to think that JK might kill off Harry! But as far as killing him off for being with him for so long is a load of crap! It’s only a book, people! Who cares if Harry dies? It’s hardly like it’s real life. If Harry dying makes the book more interesting, readable or gripping -I’m all for it! Besides, killing Harry off would be the only way to ensure there’s no lame ‘Harry Potter and the Hogwarts Reunion’ books in the future.
Besides, wouldn’t you want Harry to have a heroic death instead of living out his days in a bedsit eating baked beans out of a tin can?
If she does kill him off and word gets out ahead of time, she may as well not even bother publishing the last book or make the last movie. We won’t buy it or go see it. Who wants to pay money for such a horrid ending to all these years of dedication on our part. No. Harry MUST live.
We the readers don’t want Harry to die. If word gets out ahead of time there are many of us who won’t buy the book. Why buy something that is just going to depress us? They may as well not bother making a movie, either. No way am I going to go see a movie where the most beloved character bites the dust, after watching him grow up. Hopefully this is just a hoax for attention.
I agree. Absolutely. If Ms Rowling kills off The Boy Who Lived, i really believe there would be such an outrage. Amongst the millions of Harry Potter fanatics worldwide, i’m betting there’s some who are mentally impaired enough to cause disaster if they are disappointed. There might even be a riot or something… i know it sounds extreme, but Harry Potter is an extremely popular character, and the author and titles also. i wouldn’t be surprised if many people started to make trouble because of Harry Potter dying. The fact that he might dye has always lingered in the back of my mind. I would be outraged and very angry if this happened, but it’s not like it would necessarily be a disaster of a ending, if it was written well. However, I think the story would finish more nicly if Harry lived. BUT I have this fear that Harry IS the last horcrux. Just think! Voldemort hadn’t made all his seven horcruxes, then he heard about this profacey and a boy with the power he knew not, so he set out to kill him…and failed. Realizinf he had failed to kill the boy, he decided to use him- or his scar- as the last horcrux. Then he fled and didn’t return to he had a body of his own again. It fits..Harry’s has insight into Voldemorts moods, he’s possessed voldy? he possessed the snake..who IS a horcrux. HE said he felt like he WAS the snake. His scar always hurts when voldys near..why? bcos theres a fragment of voldys soul in that lightning bolt scar. It makes perfect sense if you think about it. And then, Harry would have to kill himself when he realizes this. I actually hope it dosn’t turn out this way, but i fear it will. Anotehr reason i think Harrys gonna die is because of something firrenze said in the forbidden forest when he rescued Harry from voldy. He said that he hoped the planets were wrong…becoz the outcome wouldnt be a happy one if they wernt wrong. read the bit in the forbidden forest, book 1, where firrenze saves harry, and you’ll see wot i mean.

there is no way that jk can kill off harry potter because if and when she continues writing after the harry potter books are done,not many people will still want to read what she writes because now shes killed off dumbledore AND siruis (spell check…). ill be bursting into tears if she kills off the twins, ginny, harry, hermione or ron… =(((
Personally, i don’t mind either way whether Harry dies or not – (tomatoes being thrown at me) BUT ON ONE CONDITION:
If Harry indeed dies, as people are fearing, than it should at least be satisfying.
So it WOULD NOT be like: *Avada Kedavra* bang! – Harry’s dead;
It would be something like: Harry gets stabbed or something (so it would take a while for Harry to die), and does one last dying heroic deed for his friends until he collapses and, during his last moments, his friends would be by his side, and he would say his last words.
THAT, i believe, would be satisfying to Harry Potter’s audiences IF he were to die. If it was not just like that – *clicks fingers* – but slow and emotional -fulfilling and heroic.

I’m rather curious as to the speculation that Harry is possibly the last horcrux. Honestly, when I first heard this rumor I thought it sounded like something that would fit and make sense, though the arguments for this interesting insight were rather weak. However, how could this be? According to the prophecy Harry is to either kill or be killed; we all know this. If Harry is indeed a horcrux then, obviously, to finish off Voldy he’s gotta kick the can himself. However, that last 7th of Voldemort’s soul is still inside his ‘human’ body, and Dumbledore said this part of him would have to be the last to go after all the other horcruxes were destroyed. So, as Harry can’t possibly kill Voldemort having already destroyed the horcrux that is him…the prophecy wouldn’t be fulfilled and I would definately be highly disappointed. If anyone has any other insight into this speculation I’m all ears
yeah i think killing off harry potter will be sad but it will be a good ending . i believe the rumors and it will make a good book. depressing but good. im sure i would want to kill off harry potter too if i lived with him for yearss.

I think that if some people have to die make them people that go along with the plot but aren’t really that involved with the story. I mean if Harry, Ron, or Hermoione died it would be imensley sad because we have seen them grow close and thier bond of friendship has gotten stronger and stonger every time harry faces voldemort. I have a theory and its pretty twisted. Harry is probably going to die because she wants to kill him off. Anyways, heres my theory, Dumbledore really isnt dead. Snape didnt realy kill him, It was all an act. You see, Dumbledore is really the main bad guy. Voldemort answers to him. Why else would they say Dumbledore is the person Voldemort is afraid of. Voldemort is a psycopath and he shouldnt be afraid of anyone. Their relationship is like Darth Vader and the Emperors. The Emperor stayed behind the scenes. Everyone thought he was good, until it was too late. So, i’m going to guess that Harry will kill Voldemort, but when it comes to Dumbledore something will happen and they both will die. How about that one.

Why kill harry?
that is the question that is going through my mind. Harry Potter fans all around the world have been waiting axiously for the next book to come out. Then when we finally get to the last book only to find out that after all the hard work that harry does (like making dumbledore drink the potion then after he dies he finds out that it wasn’t even a horcrux….not a very good last memory huh?…..) plus all the waiting we have done only to find out that harry potter dies. As a lot of you probably have noticed J.K. gives lots of clues about things that will happen in upcomming books… one of these clues in my eyes is that she gives harry potter the title (the boy who lived) not only because he survived once but that he survives period. OMG people it’s JUST A BOOK! It’s HER STORY she can kill off harry if she WANTS TO, it’s HER STORY and NOT YOUR’S. In my stories and others people have killed off main character’s not in a depressing way but in a HERO type of way, if harry saves someone then dying would be an honor it would be bittersweet ending.

When people say harry is going to die thats is true. Because the story is told in 3rd person, all of the good storys are held in 1st person if you haven’t noticed unless the main character dies. Harry Potter is told in 3rd person therfore harry will die so that the story can go 100 pages longer than if it would have ended when he would’ve died.
No main character dies if the story is in 1st perso, harry potter is in 3rd person.

I myself, do believe that JK Rowling will be killed off. But she has many good reasons if she does.
1. The world won’t end with evil, but it won’t end with good. I believe she is going to kill both Harry and Voldemort to make it even between good and evil. So it can be smack down in the middle.
2. Harry will become a ghost. That’s right, wizards and witches can do that. And if Harry becomes a ghost, he will be with his mom and dad, Cedric Diggory, Dumbledore, Serius, and of course the old man who died in the 4th book/movie.
I would not dought JK doing that, she created Harry, she wants to kill him. But if she doesn’t, I know it would make many fans so happy. That may be the reason she doesn’t make Harry die. So as to not make her fans kill her. She may even write two endings to the book (for those of us who can’t take the pain).

Firstly, I would like to go slightily off topic. I think A Series Of Unfortunate Events is a way better series then the H.P series. There I said it. Now back to related matters. Will Harry Potter die? Maybe he will, maybe he won’t. Harry Potter, is not a real hero, as his heroic actions might suggest. As Snape said in the 6th book he always gets help, and I think because of that he should die. Oh and another thing, I hope Hermione dies too. Because she is a metaphore of the kind of person who gets straight As in school, making the rest of us look bad, and I hate perfect people; I really hope she dies!
One more thing I’d like to talk about. Lets compare Hitler to Lord Voldemort. I think I heard somewhere that Voldemort is like some evil stated in the bible, but I don’t anthing about bible stuff, making this sentence irrelavent. If I had to metaphore Lord Voldemort It would be Hitler. Hitler hated Jews and went on trying to exterminate them, whereas Lord Voldemort hates, “Mud Bloods, oh my gosh I said a bad word, I deserve a time out and a spanking!” And proceeds trying to kill them. Followers, something similiar about them (Natiz, I am not sure if that’s spelled right, Death Eaters). They are both involved in wars. Hitler (World War2). Lord Voldemort (A war started by him, doesn’t have a name, but the second war, I am almost positive is called, “The Second War.”) Now has any one noticed a foe that each one has had. Hitler (The United States of America). Lord Voldemort (Order of the Pheonix). I do hope Harry dies, because as I stated in my last comment he gets help too much, but if J.R, wants to make Hitler and Lord Voldemort almost like brothers, then maybe Harry should blow up Hitler, because I think that’s the way Hitler died! Always remeber, that a Series of Unfortunate Events is way better then Harry Potter!

There are no Jews. I am a jew. What I am mad amout is, at Hogwarts they only celebrate Christmas. I mean what if there were some Jewish kids going to Hogwarts, wouldn’t that be unfair to them. Another thing that I find strange, is that wizards actually do celebrate Christmas. I mean I thought Christians didn’t like anything to do with magic, but I might be wrong. well, well, well, goodbye… for now!
Last time, I think maybe, I don’t know. I think J.R is too repetative. The climax always happens in the month of June. Not saying anything bad about June, as it is one of my favorite months, but if I was Harry Potter, I would take out a calendar, and circle every day of June, and say quietly to myself, “Hmmm, I just know some big fight is going to happen during this month, I had better bulk up, and eat my weaties. Or I could procrastinate and just wait for something to happen. or i could put my friends in peril danger, like I always seem to do. Or I can find a long lost relative, ask him to help me, and get him killed like I did Sirius, oh drat, that would be no good, because he can come back as a ghost and forever haunt me. Or I could move to America where there’s a lot more protection. Yep tha’ts what I’ll do I move to America, and start a restaraunt chain, now I need a name, Hmmmm, oh of course Potter’s Paties, yep that’ll do, because a patie is what a hamburger is, minus all the bread and the condiments!”
Oh, Oh, hang on to your hats for this one. I am not sure if this is out yet, and I deeply apologize if it is. Nobody seems to notice this, but I feel Professor Trelawney has already predicted Harry’s fate. All of the staff at Hogwarts feels that Trelawney is a fraud, but all of her little predictions come true. let me give a few for example: She told Dolores that she was in danger, and I think Dolores got attacked by all those horse people, I think she predicted (In the 6th book) the lightning struck tower, and indeed it did happen. Now that I’ve made my point, here’s what’s going to happen to Harry. He’s going to die. Trelawney says on a daily basis that Harry is going to die in some horrific way, and seeing as she’s not a fraud I believe her. I think that is very clever clue J.R put into the books!

A boy named Sameul Scott walked up the driveway of his parents manner. He was proud of his parents and his heritiache. Samuel was proud of being rich, and would brag to anyone he came in contact with.
“Ha, ha, I have more money then you.” Samuel rudely pointed out to his middle class friend, who was walking nearby.
