Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince - Five Days To Go

July 11th, 2005 at 15:00 by Stuart Heritage

Angry_potterThere are only five more days until Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince is released to a bunch of weird people that won’t really consider themselves complete until they’ve read another big load of words about a little wizard going to school.

You may remember a while ago we reported a competition to find a child to hold the only UK interview with J.K Rowling. Well, the competition is over and the winner is Owen Jones, a 14 year-old from Cardiff. He will conduct the interview just a few short hours after the book is published at midnight on July 16th. The interview will then be broadcast on ITV1 on Sunday at 5.30pm.

Rumours that Owen has to ask his questions from behind a solid lead partition, so J.K Rowling’s deity-like superhuman brilliance doesn’t burn his young eyes out are still to be confirmed.

Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince is expected to top all kinds
of bestseller lists when it is released. Internet pre-orders for the
book are at an all-time high and it is being predicted that Harry
Potter 6
will sell five million copies in America on it’s first day
alone.

But if it’s going to be the biggest-selling book of the series, that
means there will be lots of people who will be new to the Potter story.
And they won’t know what’s going on. Since that is likely to be the
case, hecklerspray is prepared to give all you Harry Potter newcomers a
quick update in what happened from book one to book five

Harry Potter is a rubbish little boy with lovely relatives that let
him stay in a spacious cupboard. He then learns that Darth Vader killed
his father and he’s really a bit wizardy. Harry goes to school to
collect a stone and returns home.

Then Gollum tells him to go back to school, so he does. He finds out
that a prisoner called Hannibal Lector wants to kill him, but he turns out to be Harry’s godfather
and wants to protect him, but he runs off instead.

Then Darth Vader captures Harry, but all his old victims including
Harry’s parents - Obi Wan Kenobi and Mary Poppins - defeat him. Yoda, Harry’s headmaster,
realises that he must fight Darth Vader, and then tells Harry that he
might be killed.

And that is exactly everything that has happened in all the previous books. Another quality service from hecklerspray.
